Excelent and kind service. Great meals. Very familiar approach. Lovely! We spent 4 days there and we will repeat! Especially recommendable for families with kids as the house is ready for that. Joan & Marta are super and their 3 childs very nice.

We spent 3 nights at this bed and breakfast and had a lovely experience. We wanted a location where we could explore the Catalan region of Spain and so we decided on Mas Masaller. The location was ideal- in between Gerona and the Coastline. We loved the idea of sleeping in an old 13th century farm house so that played... More

Greatly enjoyed the hospitality. Truly a beautiful Spanish house at a beautiful location. Everything is clean, well maintained, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the rooms are large and the beds are very good.

This review might come a little delayed, but better late than never I guess. My mum and I stayed at Mas Masaller in late April 2013 for a couple days. We had an amazing time at Joan and Marta's! :-) Especially the food was great. Tasting all the local products at breakfast and the lovely dinners that Joan prepared was... More

This was the second location, carefully chosen by my dear wife for myself and our family of 3 children aged 14 12 and 9. After a long and latterly dusty bike ride from La Pera we arrived at Mas Masaller. It was a little disappointing to look at at first glance but inside the garden grounds (walled) and the house... Dear Simon, Thank you very much for your best wishes for the new year, we also wish you the best for the 2014. Also we want to apreciate your comments about the rooms. First we tell you that the noisy bed is already solved because other guests tell us the same problem. About the family room, we are sorry you... More

We've stayed at Mas Masaller at January 2013. The surrounding area is great, is rural as it can get, very lively and picturesque. The hosts are nice. Joan seems to be super busy with the kitchen and house. Marta is taking care of her 3rd baby. The idea of this place, as explained by Marta, is that it’s not like... More

We stayed at Mas Masaller for four nights and it was hard to leave. Joan and Marta are excellent hosts who go out of their way to make you comfortable. The breakfasts are excellent and we recommend that you plan to have dinner there - believe me, Joan is an awesome chef! The location is perfect with much to see... More

We have stayed with Marta and Joan before, but they have now moved to a new Catalan Mas. It is set in a peaceful location just outside La Bisbal. The main rooms of the house are bright and airy, the bedrooms spacious with all amenities, including Spanish TV (great if you are attempting to learn the language). The grounds are... More

This was my first time in Joan y Marta's new home, their previous B&B "Can Navata, Baseia" a little further to the north was excelent. Twice a year I journey between Calais/Barcelona and their welcome and friendliness for my first (off the ferry) night or last to get the ferry is wonderful. Their new home is no different, very rural,... More

We stayed at the Mas Masaller on our way to Italy from Spain and again on our return. We cannot recommend both the people and the hotel strongly enough and are returning in the spring . The hosts (Joan and Marta) are friendly and warm, it is a farmhouse in beautiful countryside with 5 rooms which are kept impeccably clean.... More
