Our recent experience of this attractive, historic inn was sadly disappointing, but admittedly we didn't dine there, so can only comment upon it as a bed and breakfast venue. The accommodation, unlike I suspect, the food, was poor. It was also poorly maintained. Our 'superior' room had the tiniest shower/wc en-suite, in which the over-sink mirror was cracked and the... This place is such a refreshing change from the chain type hotels many people choose to stay in... the old building has such character with its uneven polished floors and walls, a blend of old and new give it a a warm character and antique feel and the modern bathroom was very clean and practical. Like many of the places... More

I stayed here on my trip through the UK to be closish to bluewater & to get back to the tunnel. I found this for its convenient location and away from the madding crowd. Lovely pub with nice interiors. The room was large and spotless. Four poster bed, highly polished wood floors and good bathroom. Mattress a little lumpy, hey... More

We went to Kent for a family occasion and didn't get to spend as much time in the room as we would have like but it was very lovely. The room was tastefully decorated, and very spacious. We had a comfortable nights sleep and the staff were friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kent.

On our North Downs Way 10-day walk, this was the most "living history" hotel we stayed at. The Bull feels as if it is straight out of Shakespeare's England - they'd done a great job of keeping all the quirks and feel of Elizabethan England - we loved that part. Watch your head going up the stairs! However, we had... More

We stayed here on Easter Sunday as part of my wife's 40th birthday and it ruined the whole weekend! I booked this as surprise through Amazon Local, and it was certainly a surprise for all the wrong reasons, worse night away i have ever experienced and the hotel didn't care! It all started well enough, the room was ok on... More

A good size carpark on arrival, the reception area is in the corridor, which you push a bell to call someone. The receptionist is nice enough but I still have to ask about wifi and food. And also takes payment straight away. The room itself is okay probably large enough for one definitely not two people. The bed is comfortable, had... More

We stayed on a Friday night and had a meal in the restaurant. Room was fine, a deluxe double, not overlarge but more than adequate.Very clean and well maintained with an excellent modern (very) bathroom. Our room was on the first floor at the back overlooking the car park and church. The car park lights were on all night which... More

The Bull is a delightful old building, full of character. Our room was large with plenty of room for us, our large dog and his bed. The two seater sofa was lovely, and the magazines covering the local area were a bonus. The bathroom was huge and luxurious. Our first evening meal was fabulous- wonderful quality, beautifully cooked and presented.... More

We stayed here on a Travelzoo deal - £99 for two with £25 each off our meal, a glass of Prosecco and breakfast. Brilliant value for money. Will talk about the accommodation first. The entrance and stairs are a bit dismal. It's a lovely old building, and could be beautiful, but, in common with most businesses these days, money isn't... More
