Went there on the weekend just for a drink to get me and the girlfriend out the house for the day, we were amazed about this little gem in the rough, although it was busy( which is understandable for a sunday lunch time) we were greeted straight away and taken to a seperate part of the hotel which had its... We cycled here from London and the staff were very welcoming to a tired and sweaty couple. They gave us somewhere safe to store our bikes and were extremely accommodating. The village and surrounding area is beautiful. The room (no 7) was lovely. Very comfy bed, large sofa and modern bathroom with a decent shower. The decor was pretty and... More

We booked the Bull, direct with their reception staff, on 2nd May to attend a party locally on 12th July. Five days ago I received a message to say that due to an administrative error there was no room for us. There was absolutely no apology, just the suggestion of a very basic and unappealing local b&b. If we had... More

Lovely old building - bar has a good mix of comfy chairs, tables, bar stools and is quite modern in décor. Feels more like a hotel lounge bar than a pub, which is what it is! Has two log-burners for the winter and a more formal dining room adjacent. Friendly staff - haven't eaten there but most of the produce... More

My partner and I booked a 2 nights stay here for a friends wedding in the area. I booked the room well in advanced and did my research. So I thought we made a great choice with The Bull Hotel. On arrival the reception could do with an update instead of looking like a nightclub cloakroom. The guy on reception... More

We had a fantastic meal at The Bull, the Bull Pit. Locally sourced top quality meat and freshly prepared sides. The meat was all cooked on a big green egg BBQ outside in front of us and the chef was really informative about how he had prepared the food. The waiter was also excellent and offered us an off the... More

Stayed there on the last Wednesday in May - pleased I did. Not only was the room very comfortable but the restaurant/bar was fantastic. Food was very good as was the service. What made the night was the jazz band playing traditional Dixieland jazz - brought back memories of working in New Orleans. Will defiantly be back - on the... More

Spent a Friday night at The Bull, fabulous dinner, great wine list, and excellent, friendly service. Stayed the night in an attic room. Very quirky old building but beautifully refurbished, soft white linen and modern shower room. Would thoroughly recommend!
