The small village of Padang Bai has proven to be a well situated location to discover east Bali. Invest in the garden bungalow at Padang Bai Beach Resort/Absolute Scuba and you will be well saitisfied. Clean and nicely decorated rooms with an outside bathroom and little yard. Breakfast is OK, fresh fruit, buns, eggs and pancakes to order. Nice pool... More

Stayed here in Sept 2012, arrived late at Airport, they picked us up and got us here very nicely, Had breakfast then jumped the ferry to Lombok at 9 am . Then we stayed here on our way back 10 days later. Food was ok and it is right on the beach with the beautiful fishing boats on the beach.... More

Padang Bai is a gateway to the Gili Islands and not a bad place to spend the afternoon (white sand beach and some local bars and cafés will keep you entertained). This resort has been trying hard to shed the shadows of past challenges and I have to say it has done ok with it. This is not luxury -... More

We stayed for a week B&B and for it's extremely good value, it was great. Rooms of a good size breakfast adequate I had an omlette made for me each morning which suits me. The pool is there really for the attached diving school and is not really suitable for casual usage. We did not dive ourselves but used this... More

The resort is located at the end of padang, the beach is ok with a lot of fishing boats, the water quality bad because of the near port. The rooms (bungalow) is big, quite clean with a nice open air bathroom inkl toilet, staff is friendly and helpful, the associated diving school is well organized, the food is ok but... More

Pandang Bai does not have loads of options around, if you are looking for something that is mid range and well located this is not a bad choice. The set up itself is fairly average so don't think of it for a romantic option, but if you want a base for diving or overnight stay before you catch a ferry... More

Stayed here for two nights recently. Got off to a bad start as the original room we were allocated stank like sewerage and the toilet would not flush and leaked. However they gave us a upgrade to a villa room which was very nice and roomy. The attached Buddha restaurant and bar was very below average food and drink service... More

Friendly, helpful staff. Good food. Right accross from beach. Spent a couple of pleasant days and evenings in Padang Bai. Some great little local bars just around the corner. The beach in front of hotel is nice but too many boats beached and anchored by it. The Blue Lagoon beach is great, a short walk away.

Stayed here with family for 8 days. Great position, clean, comfortable rooms with efficient air con. Padang Bay is not bustling with activity but if you want relaxation and some cool snorkeling - this is a great place. The room comes with a buffet breakfast that includes a freshly cooked choice of eggs, bacon or pancakes. Nearby restaurants are excellent... More

Stayed here last week, Terrific rooms, clean, well-appointed. Excellent service, Alena couldn't.have been more helpful. Beautiful, peaceful gardens. Would recommend taking a motor bike ride with Frieda up to the mountains. Well located resort with easy access to other sites in Bali.
