We booked this hotel as it was one of the last available for a World Cup match. It is quite a way out of Stuttgart and takes about 35 minutes by train, or 20 minutes if you get the express (advisable!). It's at the end of one of the train lines (Plochingen), but only a few stops from the Mercedes Benz Museum and the Stadium.

Plochingen is a nice little town with friendly people and a nice feel about it. The hotel is clean and the rooms quite spacious and they provide a nice buffet breakfast (continental). There was no air conditioning which would have been nice as it was quite hot in June, but the apartments do not get that hot. We had a little trouble finding it at first, but a local lady got out of her car to show us where it was!!

It's a great hotel for a relaxing stay, but perhaps a ltitle far out if you're keen to see as much as possible in as little time as possible.
