If you plan to visit Andalucia and the White Villages of Spain, Colmenar is a perfect spot to view all that the area has to offer. We determined this during a recent biking trip through Spain when we discovered Cazadores de la Luna, a hotel and restaurant run by Francesca Rogers. While many choose to stay in Antequera or Ronda,... More

The hotel has now been taken over by British owners and is running under the name of Hotel Cazadores de la Luna (Hunters Moon). We have not stayed at the hotel but have eaten there twice in the past 6 weeks. Food and service are excellent and the staff are very welcoming. recommended.

The hotel does not pretend anything. It simply is. It has everything anyone could want of a solid piece of accommadation with views and fresh air that can be addictive. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the decoration stylish. It has a massive restaurant and bar which takes most of the ground floor and a pool just outside... More

This time ( August 2007) the property was dark with no bar or restaurant . Another couple whom we met at the foot of the stairs as we gazed... More

We arrived late at night and felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. The new owners, Torben and Pia, are a lovely Danish couple and we had such a warm welcome from them and head waiter, Faustino, They have plans to improve the hotel though it is already beautiful, clean and very comfortable with lush planting... We had booked 5 rooms for 10 days stay back in April. This was checked and confirmed several times before departure. On arrival, management looked amazed that we were there! It turns out that the hotel is for sale and the owners had lost interest in the place. However, as we were determined to enjoy our trip to Axarquia, we... More
