While we didn't stay at this hotel, we did pop up to the roof top bar for an apertivo before dinner. The views are amazing - you have a 180 degree view from Stromboli to Lipari to Lingua. The hotel is also beautifully decorated with antiques - i loved the cupboard filled with small terracotta heads of different gods on... More

The island of Salina struck us a paradise on earth when we arrived on the aliscafo about 8:00 pm. A couple of inquiries brought us quickly to the Hotel Santa Marina in a little alley just off Via Risorgimento. We rang the bell in the small reception area and were shown to our room on the second floor. The room... More

I had booked for 3 days, but fell in love with Santa Marina--both the town and the hotel--so I stayed an extra 3 days. I was in two different rooms and loved both of them--the Sicilian lace on the windows, the antique floor tiles, and the old prints on the walls. The first room was on the non-port side and... More

Again, this is rated for what it is; not a Hilton or Sofitel but a small hotel providing fantastic views and ambience, handy to the port and town centre, without being right on top of it, a friendly atmosphere and professional no-fuss service and support. I arrived with a damaged knee and was thoughtfully place in a ground-floor room, right... More

Located in the centre of the island this hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The owner is extremely kind and friendly and have us amazing suggestions for enjoying the island. Breakfast is served on a terrace with a wonderful seaside view. I strongly recommend this hotel which is perfect for a romantic holiday.

We stayed at Hotel Santa Marina for 2 nights in August 2011. The hotel was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and the hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The only problem is that we were only there for 2 nights - next time 7 nights - and the same hotel - it was perfect!!

Nice rooms and good location but for us it was spoilt by the acoustics of the hotel. We were on the floor below the roof terrace and in the afternoon/evenings when we like to have a mid afternoon nap after lots of sightseeing, swimming and exploring there was lots of noise from the terrace and in the morning the noise...
