The location is just splendid, waking up with a view on the Vesuvius is breathtaking. Besides that it is a very good hotel, friendly staff, good service, nice breakfast. Also the rooms were spacious and quite luxurious. So nothing to complain, besides about the pool. This was not heated, which can be chilly in May and was a bit disappointing... More

So we had a recent visit to Pompeii. This hotel is located at the base of Mount Vesuvius in a town that looks like 1980s Beirut. The staff was lovely and the hotel had great views and a lovely breakfast. The pool was also very nice. If you have to stay in the area, please stay here. Good luck driving.

We just spent 11 days in Italy and this hotel was the best on our trip. It was such a great surprise from this small town. You would never know such a first class hotel could be hidden in this sleepy town. 10 minutes from Pompei and Oplonti ruins. It is a must for anyone who wants to stay in... More

Excellent hotel on the way from the airport to Amalfi, visiting Vesuvius and Pompei. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was nice and cozy the balcony and the view to the mountain in sunset. It's a great hotel for your first day in Italy.

The staff are amazing. Food is nice too... out the way but the staff are so helpful and will drop you to local metro stops etc. Would recommend a suite and also go to the local vineyard for tasting of their wine and food

My partner booked this hotel for us, and it wasn't until we were in the car travelling to our destination that he told me it is on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius. I was very reluctant to even go to Pompeii, so staying on the actual slope of the mountain was a mildly terrifying thought. We arrived and there is... More

This hotel appeared to be the best and most modern in the area when we visited in May 2014. We were there in a quiet period so the rates were very good and the stay peaceful. Room was beautiful and hosts were very welcoming. We enjoyed a drink on the pool balcony overlooking the coast in the distance - including... More

Stayed for 5 nights in the Verdi room. The hotel was fantastico as were the staff. I definately reccomend it if you are visiting the pompeii region. You will need to hire a car to get around. I also reccomend a drive up mount vesuvius and a walk to the top.

We chose the Palazzo Roenthal for its central location -- we were easily able to visit Pompei, Vesuvius, Peastam and the Amalfi Coast from here. The rooms are incredibly clean and the staff is exceptionally helpful. The croissants at breakfast are great. It was raining and foggy when we were there but the view we did have we terrific despite... More

What a place! Great service, Great views, Great staff. Will def go there again.we stayed here in February 2015, Room was spacious + very clean, food excellent and Giovannis coffee was the best! They even had a free car service to the station. Antonio sorted out our tickets and transport when we visited Rome. Relaxing and private.
