Stayed here for one night only because it was very close to Vesuvius and Pompeii. The hotel itself was very freindly, clean and spacious, rooms had great views of the bay and vesuvius and were also very spacious. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful with an amazing backdrop view of Vesuvius. The area around the hotel is not for the... More

My wife and I just returned from trecsse having spent ten days at the hotel. We had a lovely room and had views on one side of Mt Vesuvius and the other side of Sorrento. Many guests stayed for about 2 days but we had prepaid and booked for ten having been in Rome a few days previous. The hotel... More

Hotel is clean and tidy with good size room. Although the hotel is well kept the local area is pretty run down. With a car it is a great base from which to explore the Pompeii area and Sorrento peninsula. Breakfast is the standard same basic Italian style but disappointingly it is the same everyday with no variation. We haven't... More

Our family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights in July 2015. Very clean and well presented hotel, great room with large double bed and two camp beds (although a couple of slats were broken) good sized bathroom and good Wi-Fi. We had a deluxe quad-room which had fantastic views of Vesuvius and the surrounding hills and two balconys to... More

Great hotel for anyone wanting to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum. The rooms were very nice and clean and easily accommodated a family of 4. The breakfast served in the morning was above average with fruits salad, pastries, cereal, meats and cheese. Spritz were approx 6 Euro. The hotel recommended a pizza place which was awesome. Although the owner of the... More

It has all been said really - but I did want to recommend this hotel. The staff, rooms, facilities, cleanliness, breakfast, pool - everything was brilliant. You could get away without a car although I was pleased we rented one and the freedom it gave us. The driving is bonkers but once I got used to it it was fine.... More

Recently had the opportunity to stay at Palazzo Rosenthal with my family on a vacation to Italy. The hotel is located near Mt. Versuvius just outside Naples. The hotel is difficult to find, prepare to use GPS to locate. Once there... The views are breathtaking. Front desk and host were very helpful. Room was very clean and air conditioning worked... We have just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay at the Palazzo Rosenthal; my partner had chosen it as we were here to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, and the hotel is about half way between the two. We didn’t have a car, so we were reliant on the Circumvesuviana train; the nearest station is Leopardi. There are generally 2... More

We chose this as it had a special price on offer for late in the summer season. Although some way out of Naples in the town of Trecase, this hotel was worth the distance. Beautifully designed in a residential suburb, the hotel has the magnificent Vesuvius at its shoulder on one side and views to the sea at the other.... More

So for the good news: the hotel is very clean, staff is nice, food is ok (dinner fine but breakfast meager) and location is good for visiting historical sites. For the bad news: severe lack of organization and poor management makes what could be a great hotel flounder... In spite of having the oldest booking for their most expensive room... More
