The place is located in San Venanzo - best reached by going through Marsciano i.e. using the E45 (turn off at the Valdechiana exit on the A1 when coming from the north and the Orte exit when coming from the south) - an unremarkable yet typical Umbrian country town. No tourist trap here, just regular folk pursuing their daily life....

The bed was so hard we felt like we were sleeping on a box-spring, not exactly the best rest after a 60 km bike ride through many hills. When we packed up, we discovered a drawer full of men's underclothing; not sure what that was about. Poor cleaning I guess.

We stayed here in November and loved this hotel. Staff could not have been more helpful. Parking is across the street. Great view of the small town and the pool area from our room. A wonderful place to wander and walk through. The restaurant was fantastic with great service, wine and food.
