The view from our third floor street facing balcony was excellent. The room quality and facilities were all very good. The bed was too firm for us, but others we visited with didn't have too much of an issue in that regard. Service and food were both well above par. Would definitely stay again

I stayed in Lario Hotel for a total of eight weeks in the last months due to a working project I had in a company located not far from it, so I had the opportunity to enjoy almost all the facilities this hotel can offer to guests. the hotel is clean, nice, tidy and located in a good position, at... Stayed here 2 nights as part of a Cosmos tour. Rooms are large, views stunning but it ends there. Beds are not very comfortable, food is awful. Asked at reception for a cup of hot water with some honey and lemon ( honey was on the breakfast table) and was charged €1.50 for the privilege .( My husband and I... More

We paid extra for a lake view and this was definitely worth doing; the view was stunning. The balcony was not huge but enough to sit out on. The pool was quite small but still adequate. The staff were very helpful, even helping us to book a private boat hire on the lake. All the staff spoke English very well.... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of a small group tour of the Italian lakes. We had a view of the lake and the room was very comfortable. The hotel is family run but needs more of a professional touch, especially in the dining room. Perhaps just a little too casual but , on the whole, good value... More

We stayed four nights as part of a longer tour around Europe. For two nights we were joined by our daughter and the hotel was very accommodating in putting an extra bed in our room as they had no spare rooms. However it was easily the worst of the nine hotels we used on this trip. The hotel is essentially... More

We wound up at this hotel for two nights as part of a tour group. If we had been on our own we would have checked out after the first night. The beds were hard, the refrigerator was non-working, there was no English language TV, the food was the worst. The staff seemed unconcerned. As noted in previous reviews, it... More

We stayed at the Lario Hotel for five days as part of a car tour. The hotel is close to lake Como but a very busy road with limited pavements is between the hotel and the lake making a walk to the lake uncomfortable and even dangerous. Parking was underground and good. We were given a rear room (no views... More

We ended up at Lario Hotel after the hotel we originally booked, Hotel Britannia, was full (we didn't find out until we arrived that we'd been switched, which was frustrating). Hotel Lario, though, proved to a welcome surprise. The hotel is quaint, clean, and with beautiful views. It also had breakfast included. The beds weren't the most comfortable (we ended... More

Minimal amenities. Continental breakfast. No one at reception most times. Street facing rooms have balconies. Very reluctant staff who are extremely slow in response to refilling breakfast meat. Hotel not near any attractions so good only to stop boy's.
