Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Aran Lodge. We were well fed, rooms were modern & fresh, and the hosts were second to none. I'd recommend it to a friend anytime. And Bantry is a beautiful part of the world with lots to do and see.

My wife and I stayed at Aran Lodge with our family in August 2013. The rooms were clean and were well appointed. Ballylickey is a really beautiful place with plenty to see and do in the area for at least a week. We enjoyed eating at some of the local pubs in the evenings as they had live music. The... More

My husband, mother-in-law and I stayed at Aran Lodge for 3 nights early in our trip to Ireland. It was a wonderful and comfortable stay and Deirdre and her family made us feel right at home. We took her advice for a places to go and were able to experience locations that were the absolute highlight of our trip. The... More

We stayed at Aran Lodge for two nights. Deirdre was a delightful hostess. The breakfasts were superb - from the fresh fruit and yoghurt to the "full Irish". It is within short walking distance of Eagle Point Caravan site - ideal as we were visiting caravanning "in-laws". Our room was comfortable, ultra clean and well equipped. Aran Lodge B&B was... More

Our stay at Aran Lodge was purely by accident as everywhere was full due to a long weekend and the fact that they had just had a cancellation. Unwittingly I had emailed Joe several months before we came to Ireland asking about family history in the area. It was one random email sent out. Then I didn't have time to... More

recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful b&b. The view from the lodge was beautiful, it overlooked scenic Bantry Bay. The rooms were very clean and confortable with great service and a daily outstanding breakfast meal. Joe and Deidre Oconnell were very gracious and informative about the surrounding area and special places to visit. I am looking forward... More

We had the opportunity to stay in the nearby summer home of friends, when the water pump broke and we were forced to find alternative lodging for a few days. The Aran Lodge was recommended by a local neighbor and what a lucky break for us. We were greeted warmly by the O'Connells, owners of the B&B. You won't find... More

I cannot speak highly enough of the Aran Lodge in Ballylickey. The property offers stunning views of the environs, and the accommodations are sparkling clean, comfortable and inviting. The owners, the O'Connells, are superlative hosts, so very helpful and knowledgeable about West Cork--not just where to visit, but also the history of each place. The atmosphere is warm, yet private,... More

A wonderful and delightful stay. Spring in west Ireland is lovely. The Aran lodge was a peaceful, beautiful setting. We were well taken care of and will most certainly return. West Cork is a natural wonder. spectacular bay views from the surrounding hills (as well as our B&B room).

An, ideal choice. A warm welcome, comfortable room, lovely view, very good breakfast, and helpful hosts. Lovely people!!! We loved our stay, and felt like we were part of the family. We felt this is B and B at its best. If you do not want to drive into town for dinner there is a very friendly pub at the... More
