Dunboyne Castle Hotel Leaving the Hotel and discovered my van had been broken into, 4,000 euro worth of tools taken. Apparently its a regular occurrence as the duty managers car has been broken into twice. Most of the car-park lighting does not work and the CCTV is very sparse. The Gardai called and took a statement and I waited for the 'scene... We stayed here on our last night before our flight out the next day. Definitely a modern hotel on the inside. Large room and nice bath. Breakfast was not bad- buffet style. Friendly staff. Would stay again. Beautiful grounds!

we have just had 4 days at this hotel and would definitely go back. the staff are very good at their jobs - particularly the bar/restaurant staff. we were made to feel as if we were the only people that mattered. the food was very good and on the whole good value. the housekeeping staff were excellent although perhaps a... On arriving at hotel for 3pm check-in, our room was not ready until 3.30pm. The bedroom was very spaciousand comfortable, with an ensuite containing both a bath and shower. We had a spa appointments for 3.45pm so we felt very rushed with no time to settle in or have a coffee. On arriving in Spa we were shown immediately to... More

The hotel is quite comfortable and clean and very suitable for a family. The breakfast was good and the overall service was excellent. The bar food is a miss and to say it is 'fair' would be very generous to it. Will try it again though because the staff were excellent

Just back from a 1 night stay at the Dunboyne Castle, we found the overall experience very good. On arrival we were checked in by Margarida who was very friendly. Our room was big and spacious and very clean. There was a problem with our tv but someone from reception came up and fixed it straight away. We had dinner... More

Got a great value deal for 1 Night, b& b + dinner. Room was modern with Wi-Fi, tv came with mini juke box. Main selling point is the spa, I didn't go for any treatments. It's E10 per room to use the pool and spa, this sounded a lot, but it's actually well worth it, not the usual type of... More

Dear Terry B Thank you very much for your very favourable review of your recent stay. I am delighted to hear that it was an enjoyable one. We do indeed charge €10 per room per stay for access to our thermal suite, as it is a spa rather than a leisure centre, and to better manage the number of guests... More

We stayed here during the beginning of August. We were not impressed with the "Castle-ness" of it but we loved our stay. We did however find some "ruins…" on the grounds. Traveling as two ladies we were given two queen beds. The room was spotless especially the bathroom!. The reception was pretty. There were several weddings going on and it... More
