I had a short easter visit here recently. What a lovely place which I will hopefully visit again.Felt very relaxed here although guilty for not doing any walking! All the staff are so friendly. I know it's their job but it did seem very genuine. Watch as you arrive that you keep an eye for the hotel driveway which double... More

We have just returned from a two night stay and feel so relaxed. We took our small dog with us, on arrival in our room was a bowl, dog bed and boneo waiting for him. The room was large very clean and had a king size comfy bed,not the normal skanky rooms dog owners usually have !! And the view over... More

We are dog owners and I agree, the way we are "welcomed" in hotels when with our dog often belies the word "welcome"! Very pleased you enjoyed your stay and will return. The wi-fi is being looked into by our computer guys. The techi stuff is all a bit beyond me I'm afraid. Thank you for the review. John More

From beginning to end of our too short stay everyone was outstandingly helpful, The quality of the accommodation, the food and the service would have been excellent in a hotel twice the price. The location was amazing and we must have had one of the best April days possible to enjoy the hills. Sitting in warm sunshine for breakfast above... More

I'm delighted that even the weather was on best behaviour! We won't double our prices however tempting the thought. In fact we've just published the Christmas and New Year packages and having had no increase for 3 years, have edged them up just 3%. Thank you for posting a review, hope we will welcome you back one day and remember... More

Very friendly, pleasant relaxed atmosphere with comfortable bed & pillows. Glorious views you are even provided with a pair of binoculars! Good breakfast again with a good view. Only a short drive into Malvern ideal as part of a theatre break. Will visit again

You are right, the hotel is well placed for visiting Malvern Theatre where we have some first class productions, many pre-West End runs. Very pleased to hear you enjoyed the break and that we will see you again. Thank you for posting a review. John More

I spent a lovely weekend at this beautiful spot. The rooms are spotless, and very comfortable and I had a wonderful view across the valley. The evening meal was very, very good, much better than I would have expected, and the wine list is fantastic. I managed to get a bottle of the elusive Cloudy Bay Sauvignon without breaking the... Many thanks for your review. We are delighted you - and your dog - enjoyed your visit. Thank you for helping to spread the word because, although I am also loath to spread the word of discoveries which are "hidden special places", without sufficient guests we couldn't survive! Hope to see you again. John More

Been wanting to visit this hotel for a long time and was not disappointed. Friendly staff, excellent food, lovely room. Definitely one to re-visit. Shame they couldn't work their magic on the weather so we could enjoy the magnificent views fully.

Delighted to read you enjoyed your stay with us and that the reality did not disappoint. I do genuinely feel bad for guests when the weather does not play ball but although we can try to perform minor miracles we have to admit failure with those that require a higher Authority. Many thanks for your review. John More

The Cottage in the Wood is well hidden and if, as we were, you are fortunate enough to have one of the forward facing rooms, the views are absolutely stunning. The hotel is a family run business and the staff we encountered were all pleasant, friendly and engaging. The room we had (in the Pinnacles) was spotless and well appointed.... More

Firstly, thank you for your review. All the feed back here chimes with the verbal feedback you gave as you checked out and in the questionnaire that you completed. I'm delighted you enjoyed all of your stay bar the food , which of course is a key part of any break. We always used to have two vegetarian main courses... More

Booked this hotel for a surprise one night stay for my boyfriends 21st birthday - and I couldn't be more happy with the choice. It was absolutely beautiful and can't thank the staff enough; they made our stay very comfortable and special. It was the warmest welcome I have ever had at any hotel, and it was clear the family... We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and found us through Secret Escapes. Delighted the team did their bit and fixed the menu choice dilemma too. Food is the responsibility of my son Dominic but you can blame me for the wine "book"! We look forward to your return in the summer sunshine. Thank you for... More

Thank you for a really wonderful stay. Everything, from the room, food and service to the helpful, lovely staff, was perfect. Glorious views (especially from our lovely room in the Pinnacles) and a great map provided by the hotel to guide us up to the even more spectacular ones on the hill tops above the hotel. Even the weather was... More

That's great to read. Just what we aim to provide, a haven from life's hurly-burly. What a bonus with the nice weather. March always seems to throw everything at us from cold winds, bit of rain but always some glorious days too which hint at things to come.Thank you very much for the review and I hope you will return... From our greeting at reception to the surprise Birthday card for my wife, the team here really know how to listen and go out of their way to please. My 2 minor grumbles on leaving, blankets rather than a quilt on our bed and wifi working intermittently could have been sorted if I had mentioned them earlier. The breakfast was... More

My team really do try to help our guests. The moto is "The answers 'yes', now what is the question?" I'd be amazed if we - or anyone else for that matter - is 100% to every guest all the time as all of us are different in our views, moods etc but we do our very best! Thank you... More
