Although the rooms were both clean and well proportioned, and the staff affable, I personally couldn't find much to enjoy from this hotel. Bedrooms are converted 'stadium boxes' overlooking the cricket ground, The novelty lasted mere seconds, after which it just felt like a bed in a corporate box. The decor was cheap and the fixtures were old, uncomfortable, and... More

We stayed for a rugby game and we were literally about 150 yards from room to seats. The view over the cricket field was great and the service was superb all in all it was very enjoyable. On another note parking was good and straight forward with lots of help from security/stewards.

Stay here for the rugby, but the views are great, the rooms are clean and beds are lovely, staff always friendly and helpful, continental breakfast is ok and served in your room, have stayed a few times and will hopefully be staying again very soon.

The above title is the way this hotel describes itself on publicity and is pretty much spot on. We paid £70 for a Superior Double on a Saturday night for room only. It is possible to pay a bit extra for Continental Breakfast in your room at weekends (£6.50 I believe). A Full English is available Monday to Friday in... More

We stayed here 2 nights & found the superior twin bedded room comfortable & spacious, the carpet was not terribly clean & the rooms could do with some updating, but we had no real complaints. It was very quiet while we were here which we were thankful for. The view over the cricket pitch was amazing. Don't expect many facilities,... More

We stayed here recently and got our room at the excellent price of £55. We stayed in the Freddie Trueman room which had excellent views over the stadium. The bed was very large and comfortable and the shower powerful and warm. We had tea, coffee and biscuits and could enjoy Sky Sports. There are a number of good restauarants and bars... More

I stayed for 2 nights from 5th Dec 13. Having been stuck on the M1 for 2hours more than expected on my long journey from Dorset I arrived quite tired. There had been storms during the early hours of that morning and apparently the TV aerial was broken at the hotel. I was not advised of this when I checked... More

Several emails were exchanged between the staff at Headingley Lodge and myself before making the booking back in early October 2013 for a 5 night stay from 29th November 2013, as I wanted to be sure that my 2 adult children and I would have a bed each, whether 3 singles or 2 singles and a double. I was assured... More

We had a great stay here the rooms are very spacious and clean with huge comfortable beds and unrivalled views. We had the Geoffrey Boycott room and on opening the door the view from the patio doors across the cricket pitch was amazing and I am not a cricket fan- we came for a rugby match and even though it... Don't get carried away as I did with the fact that your room will overlook the cricket pitch as, apart from a great bed, this was the worst night I've ever had in a hotel. The woman on reception on arrival was neither welcoming nor off-putting - she just didn't seem all that interested. The room I had was huge... More
