This was our second stay at Haley's Hotel and we were not disappointed again. We had a lovely double room,it was small but perfectly adequate for our needs. It was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm. It was so warm we slept with the window open and didn't hear a thing all night, hard to believe that the hotel is... More

The location is very good being in a quiet side street but within a few minutes walk of Otley Road with its many restaurants and bars. Our bedroom was in the annex and was very comfortable and very quiet. Only small disappointment was that no showergel was provided (although a bar of soap was) and the blind in the bathroom... More

You should have had shower gel/body wash provided by us. The blind is sorted by our full time handy man. Thank you for your review. Gordon Jowett M.D More

Headingley, and neighbouring Hyde Park, are populated with a lot of students. The main road, Otley Road, close to the hotel is filled with bars and mostly fast/takeaway type eateries. It was all a bit loud, a bit noisy, a but much on a Saturday night when you're not in the mood for that. Happily, Haley's is far enough away... More

Thank you for this review. You are right, we do include breakfast on Saturday & Sunday nothing at a cost of £5.00 per head served 8am until 9.30. Very good value I think. Gordon Jowett M.D More

When you're travelling on business it's nice to stay in a hotel that has some character and a few friendly faces. Haley's delivers on both. There's a pleasant lounge bar in which to work or relax and bedrooms are warm, comfortable and quiet (well, mine was). Bars and restaurants in Headlingley are just a short walk away, a great advantage... More

This was a very brief visit as we only arrived at 10.30pm and left shortly after breakfast. But that was time was enough to enjoy a large room with a big comfy bed in a lovely building. A piece of quiet history amongst the sprwaling city that is Leeds. The staff were lovely, both on reception and those on breakfast... More

What a superb entrance! I felt as though I was elevated to stardom, and the welcome from the staff reinforced that! A lovely room, a lovely hotel, a fine breakfast. I can heartily recommend Haley's Hotel.

It was a dark and stormy night when I stayed at Haley's Hotel in Headingley and it was pretty good! On arrival, it felt like there was a touch of The Shining about the place - it feels a bit dated in some ways, but in other ways feels quite boutiquey, although it doesn't quite carry that off. I had... More

The hotel is a conversion of 2 gentlemen's residences made into one hotel. Owing to Haley's being a listed building there is a variation of room sizes. Thank you Gordon Jowett M.D More

As we were visiting relatives in Leeds outskirts, we didn't want to stay in a city centre hotel 'convenient for the railway station'. We found Haleys and it was just perfect. Having driven through the centre of Leeds, which needed a great deal of concentration in the dark, to drive up the hill to Headingly and then into quiet Shire... More

Thank you for your review. You are right about the lift but it would be difficult in a grade II listed building (the building was 2 gentlemens private residence around 1880). Gordon Jowett M.D More

I had heard good reports of this place. My personal experience is limited to having had to go there for a tea after a funeral in December; I needed to get tea for two elderly people who needed warming-up, and there was only coffee available. When I managed to get hold of someone and asked them if it would be... More

This funeral arrived approximately 30 minutes before the time booked, obviously are beverages are prepared to be hot upon the arrival so were not yet ready. I know that the request was met with out any delay. Gordon Jowett M.D More

We agree with the favourable comments about Haley's. The excellent location is just a short bus ride from the city centre, on a very quiet street in Headingly - a very pleasant area with lots of shops, restaurants, and pubs. The staff were extremely friendly, and our room (a standard double) was quite large, clean, nicely decorated, well appointed and... More

The breakfast you refer to was a Monday morning which was prepared by the night porter as the normal member of staff was off work with illness at short notice. Only 4 guests had booked for breakfast so it was decided to cook to order but this was a mistake as many more came down on the morning. Sorry. Thank... More
