We found the best accomodation in Scotland! After several nights of hotels and inns, this is the best choice made so far in terms of accomodation. Strongly recommend, the family is great, the house is beautiful with a great view of the sea and the rooms are flawless.

Dear Alexandru I think you have posted our fastest ever review! Many thanks for taking the time, especially whilst still on holiday. I hope you all enjoyed Dunrobin Castle and that the salmon leapt for you at the Shin Falls. Enjoy the rest of your time in Scotland, best wishes from us both, Catriona More

Stayed one night on our way to Orkney and only complaint was that we weren't staying longer. Lovely welcome from Catriona and shown to our beautiful room which was even better than the website had suggested. We had booked supper knowing we wouldn't arrive until the evening and what a difference that made, beautiful food (many ingredients home grown) followed... More

What a wonderful place to stay. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. We were greeted with a pot of tea and home made cakes and fresh raspberries from the garden (sumptuous). Our room was the most classy we have stayed in right down to the fine details of toiletries in the bathroom. A huge free standing roll top bath and... More

We were in Culgower House just for a night but it was fantastic! It's very clean, quite, cofortable, the rooms are big and new. The b&b is closed to Dunrobin Castle and in just an hour you can reach Duncasby Head. We had a wonderful breakfast and the owner, Catriona, was very very very nice! A perfect place!

It's not often I can stay in a b&b without finding something I'm not happy with but Culgower House has to be the exception. Stayed on way to get the ferry to Orkney. It had plenty of parking space in front of a beautiful house and when Catriona welcomes you into the house it is not a disappointment. After showing... More

We stayed here on our way to Orkney. The standard of the accommodation, the views and the food was excellent. The small touches added to the experience: the homemade tablet with tea, fresh milk in the bedroom with the tea and coffee, homemade biscuits, fresh flowers and great toiletries. Add to this a huge comfy bed and huge free standing... More

This house is a fantastic find in this remote area of Scotland. A large stone house set off the main road south from John O Groats to Inverness. We spent two nights here during our extensive six weeks touring Scotland. Staying at numerous superb establishments this guesthouse was without doubt the very best. We stayed at Culgower House for one night on our way to Orkney at the end of May. It is, without doubt, the best B & B we have come across - and we have stayed in quite a few! Catriona has everything down to a fine art and we cannot speak highly enough of our stay. Culgower House itself... More
