My friend and I had a lovely meal in here the other night. Freshly cooked and very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient. Traditional highland pub with a nice ambience. Good value for money and I would recommend a visit if you were passing

This establishment is in urgent need of refurbishment. This is not Highland rustic; it is drab and barely functional. No central heating, no shower (when was the last time you had to use a rubber hose attached to the taps to rinse your hair?!) and awful décor. The beds were new. The food was excellent and good value but this... More

We stopped here for lunch. The place was very cold, but we could sit by the fire to warm up. There was a darts board, playing darts further helped warm up a bit. Lunch was next door, cold! We had an all day breakfast, which was decent. Staff was friendly.

Stopped off here for lunch. A rather strange place, very old thick walls, open fire in lounge bar. Somewhat quirky place. Service was friendly. I found the menu rather tired and ordinary all the usual stuff burgers, pasta etc rather safe catch all stuff. With one exception the langoustines. Looking for something a bit different we chose these. After a... More

Well we returned to the Bridge and received a warm welcome especially in the public bar where the friendly locals drink. We also ate there and the meal was very nicely cooked and well presented. We will be back again.

I come up here quite often and I often read critical reviews about accommodation. If people pay £250 a night then they can expect high standards all round but a lot whine when they expect 5 star facilities and won't pay for it. This place is fine, locals are friendly, fires in the bars and the foods ok too. So... More

Really enjoyable week. The bar areas were both cosy and warm with open fires regularly stocked up by the staff. Comfy sofas with internet access, a great selection of drinks (cheaper than many other Hotels and Pubs) and the locals were very friendly and welcoming, a great place to spend the evenings. A good choice was offered for breakfast and... More

A friend and I ate here recently after a days fishing on the Kyle. Two fish and chips served about as greasy as you can get. It took nearly half an hour for this megre portion to reach our table which probably explains why it was barely warm. Service was good and the dining area clean but the food was... More

There seems to be a wide range of reviews posted here and I cannot believe the 5 stars given by the previous reviewer as it sounds so far removed from our experiences. Almost appears like an effort from the owner or one of their friends. The room was cold and dirty. The meal in their restaurant was dreadful. We had... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in Bonar Bridge for two nights and both evenings we ended up at the Bridge Hotel for dinner. This was a fabulous experience. It was a dark and stormy night (really!) so this pub was like an oasis in the middle of NOWHERE. When you walk in the doors, it's cozy (not cramped) with a... More
