I come up here quite often and I often read critical reviews about accommodation. If people pay £250 a night then they can expect high standards all round but a lot whine when they expect 5 star facilities and won't pay for it. This place is fine, locals are friendly, fires in the bars and the foods ok too. So... More

Really enjoyable week. The bar areas were both cosy and warm with open fires regularly stocked up by the staff. Comfy sofas with internet access, a great selection of drinks (cheaper than many other Hotels and Pubs) and the locals were very friendly and welcoming, a great place to spend the evenings. A good choice was offered for breakfast and... More

A friend and I ate here recently after a days fishing on the Kyle. Two fish and chips served about as greasy as you can get. It took nearly half an hour for this megre portion to reach our table which probably explains why it was barely warm. Service was good and the dining area clean but the food was... More

There seems to be a wide range of reviews posted here and I cannot believe the 5 stars given by the previous reviewer as it sounds so far removed from our experiences. Almost appears like an effort from the owner or one of their friends. The room was cold and dirty. The meal in their restaurant was dreadful. We had... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in Bonar Bridge for two nights and both evenings we ended up at the Bridge Hotel for dinner. This was a fabulous experience. It was a dark and stormy night (really!) so this pub was like an oasis in the middle of NOWHERE. When you walk in the doors, it's cozy (not cramped) with a... More

Stayed 1 night at hotel. Central heating not operating and manager could not give reason. Was given a heater to use only after third time of asking. I had to ask for bath to be cleaned before I could have a bath. Carpet dirty. Room rundown. Duvet thin and no warm cover available. Only one bedroom light which was very... More

Very disappointing. Main problem was lack of heat and nothing changed after asking what time CH came on. In reality the answer was never. This was on a cold, wet September day. Chair in room had no spring so painful to sit on. Only one useful electric socket so if you wanted to use the kettle the TV had to... More

OK, so the hotel is a bit rough round the edges, and I don't know what it would be like to stay in, but . . . . . . The steak and ale pie meal was wonderful. Lovely meat, no fatty bits and oodles of it! Crisp vegetables and good chips. This was one of the best bar meals... More

I ate lunch at the Bridge hotel with my partner recently, he opted for fish & chips while I chose the Caesar salad. Big mistake on my part! The salad was presented to me in a banana spilt dish and was a disaster! The 'salad' was a pre-packed mixed leaf salad from a supermarket, not a hint of romaine lettuce... More

I was at a course in Inverness so decided to revisit the Bridge hotel in Bonar Bridge . I stayed for 3 nights and found my room very comfortable and clean with a brand new shower fitted . The renovations in hotel have made a big difference . I ate in hotel twice with the reasonably priced langoustines a highlight... More
