I stayed for 1 night. Good basic hotel for the money. Carvery, again good basic food less than £7 for an ample meal. The room was clean and warm with lovely hot shower and excellent views over the broad. The staff were attentive and pleasant.

I spent a couple of nights here on business and enjoyed the stay. The room had been recently re-decorated and was airy and spotless, with views across Oulton Broad. The bed was very comfortable and the bacon and eggs at breakfast just right. I ate at the carvery one night only and it was fine.

My husband was 60 on Sunday 18th September and, due to family locations, we decided to choose The Wherry Hotel as the most convenient place to have a celebration. It was all the more special because my husband was adopted and had, over the past two years, found that he had two brothers, and had not only located them, but... More

Stayed here for one night which could well have been 5 nights had the place been cleaner and the food even the slightest bit edible. Worst hotel experience for many years .......... Deep. Fried everything !

We stayed in one of the superior rooms ('His Lordships's suite' or something like that) and we had a great time. The place isn't expensive so don't expect boundless luxury or an olympic swimming pool, but the staff are very friendly and competent and nothing is too much trouble for them. The view from our balcony was stunning, the only... More

Paid £110 for an advertised Superior room with a Superior view! Got an old room which doesn't seem top have been touched since the sixties! With a view of a very large noisy extractor fan chimney! Carpets thread bare! Breakfast was baked beans stuck in the bottom of a pan and another pan with halve a dozen burnt greasy sousages... More

We chose this hotel as it was near to my eBay purchase pick-up spot. From the photos it looked lovely. I had read some tripA comments and decided to upgrade to a superior room, and indeed the room itself was comfortable, had a splendid view and a truly comfortable bed. My only disappointment was that having chosen the room as... More

We called in for a family meal on our recent holiday on the Broads. We selected a large table and ordered our food, a little apprehensive I admit as the dining area seemed untidy and there were no clean tables that would accommodate our party of 8. I ordered food at the bar and asked that our table be cleared... More

We stayed at the Wherry for just one night while on a trip to the East of England. We, too, upgraded the room and had the suite overlooking the water..... Probably the 2nd best room: oak panelling, picture windows over the water etc, that we have ever experienced! The hotel itself is very shabby: carpets threadbare, paintwork needs complete rework...
