The venue was excellent as were the staff. We were a party of 31 and we all had meals together and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were looking after us and also running the bar for the locals. The owners Darren & Victoria were excellent host's and my family, most of which come from Essex and... More

This was a smashing pub. The rooms are small but clean and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was deelish. The ambience is lovely and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Will certainly stay here again next time we're down that way

This pub has a lovely ambience with its open fire and subtle lighting. Sadly however the food was not cheap and not exciting. (The service didn't feel too genuine either) In fact, wish we'd stayed at home. Thought we would give the local a chance again, but shan't be going back until they change ownership.

Stayed here on our way down to Cornwall, lovely pub and we were made to feel really welcome. Very dog friendly, they don't even charge extra for you to have a dog in the B&B rooms. The rooms are small, but newly decorated, clean and well equipped with tea, coffee, milk & cereals. We had a lovely cooked breakfast, which... More

Called in without booking. Several tables were reserved but we were given a table in the restaurant. Attractive pub both inside and out. Very relaxing atmosphere. Friendly and pleasant staff/owners. Nice mixture of specials and 2 courses for £12 options. Excellent fayre served up and in man size portions. 3 or 4 real ales on offer at the bar, all... More

Staying in a Travelodge near by we were after a decent pub meal and we got much more than that. The place is aesthetically lovely and the service was wonderful. I ordered the lamb chops and it was wonderful, big portions and great quality meals. I definitely recommend this place.

We went for lunch and ordered fish and chips - couldn't believe it when it arrived because they had cut each fish in half which resulted in a TINY portion. The only reason I did not complain was because my teenage sons were too hungry for us to send it back. Not one member of staff asked us how our... More

We were down in this part of the world for a weekend doing family history research, and stayed overnight at The Bell. We loved it. Parking was easy, the locals friendly, staff were delightful our room clean and comfortable, and the food absolutely excellent. The Chef recommended the ham hock, and my husband became the first person, ever , to... More

Visited this pub for the first time tonight with my wife. Both had 3 courses for £15-excellent value. The meals were well cooked, home made and delicious. Portion sizes were great and the staff all very friendly. Will definitely visit again and recommend it.
