Best B&B we have stayed in coupled with best dining experience. Food and service is faultless and the owners are so welcoming. Very good selection of food on the menu and specials board and all reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We arrived for my brothers 35th birthday lunch today where we were greeted by excellent, warm and very friendly members of staff. My daughter is 1,as a loving parent I only want the best food for her, her children's meal was massive and so freshly cooked it was outstanding to see, so many times have I seen children's meals come out... We stayed here on a stop-over on way to Cornwall. We didn't eat having arrived after 9pm, but the restaurant was busy and the food looked good. We contented ourselves with a couple of glasses of wine on the sofa by the log fire, and enjoyed the ambience of this lovely pub. All the staff were very helpful and friendly,... More

Stayed overnight at this lovely pub whilst visiting our old nan who was in a home just down the road - as soon as we stepped through the door to this great pub we had such a Lovely welcome, Darren and Vicky, the owners, made us so welcome. Two bars either side, both with open log fires, so cosy. The... More

Had an evening meal with friends, the staff are very welcoming and efficient, the food was excellent and the mixed grill was lush with quality cuts of meat, really nice decor and you can't beat a log fire and comfy chairs, all adds up to a great relaxing night out. We will be back.

We visited The Bell having heard good things from locals (always a good sign) and we weren't disappointed. The refurb is very tasteful with an open fire and a mish-mash of old furniture, interesting rugs and a lovely sofa, and the vibe is very 'buzz-y'. The specials menu looked interesting and seasonal, but staff were happy to pander to my... More

Good old fashioned pup, even down to the local tradesmen popping in on Friday after work for a pint and a natter before going home for tea. Excellent feel to the place and very friendly. The accommodation was basic but spotlessly clean and a really good shower. Downside was the lack of soundproofing/thickness of walls which meant you could almost... More

Stayed one night for a friend's birthday nearby. Staff were always cheerful and friendly. Room is small but cosy, very clean and bed was really comfy. A couple of marks on carpet but cream carpets in a guest room will always get marked so no big deal. Didn't get to sample the bar but couldn't fault the hotel room or... More
