My wife and I stayed one night en route to Exmoor. This is an experience not to be missed. Well-furnished, quiet and comfortable room. Outstanding food and restaurant service. And a warm welcome from staff and the friendly local clientele

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere and excellent accomodation and to top it all very reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much in October 2010 we went back for more in September 2011 and, no doubt, we'll be going back again :)
I echo the other reviews - this pub is an authentic pub with friendly staff. It serves a good selection of beers and well frequented by local people. I had seen photos of the brick built chalets at the back of the building and...

We were recommended this pub (with rooms) when we were travelling down for a friends wedding - what a find. The owner has obviously added the letting rooms on the back of a traditional pub. You get the best of both worlds - a great pub and somewhere clean, comfortable and better than most 4 star hotels to sleep in...
