What an excellent experience. We stayed for 3 nights and became friends with the owners of the New Inn. We had a wonderful breakfast in the morning and enjoyed Otter beer in the evening at the Pub along with playing darts and closing the Pub each night. Our son Matthew the Canadian still talks about the New Inn. When asked... More

Great food , especially breakfast, comfortable room, friendly staff, all set in a tranquil, beautiful hamstone village in Somerset. Convenient for local Cider Mill (30 metres ) and Devon, Dorset coastline. Not far to Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar and Wookey Hole.

Four of us stayed there whilst going to a funeral. The hotel certainly brightened us up. We had a really good evening meal and our overnight stay was really good too with an excellent full english breakfast. The owners are very friendly too.

This Pub / Hotel is a bit off the beaten track, but is very friendly and the room (for the price) is superb. There are just four rooms, but they are quite spacious and there is ample tea and coffee in the room (not the usual 1 or 2 sachets) The bed is really comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!... On 13th sept. We decided to break our journey to Devon and stay the night at The New Inn in Ilminster, when we drove into the exceptionally pretty village and found the equally attractive New Inn,we were instantly relaxed and knew we had chosen well, the owners and staff were exceptional, the rooms were very clean and reasonably large and the food... We stayed here for 4 nights last week as we wanted to have a break in Somerset. Because it seemed such excellent value we were a little worried at first but any misgivings disappeared as soon as we walked in (eventually - having got lost trying to find it!) Everybody was extremely friendly, the room was clean and had everything... More

We booked a single night in this guest house. It is reached by single track roads but is sign posted. Sat nav really helped to find it. There is a large, safe car park at the front of the accommodation. We were welcomed by an extremely friendly proprietor. She offered to help us with our bags and asked if we... More

We have stayed here twice now on our way down to Cornwall . It is a fantastic country village pub and is a welcoming break for the long drive. Great pub , great food and a great location. Will defiantly be going again . Great breakfast , no complaints.

Friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable room, great food and ale. Delighted we found this pub in the lovely village of Dowlish Wake. Very accommodating kitchen, preparing gluten free meals when asked, and clearly understood what 'gluten free' really means! The breakfasts are probably the best we've had in a B&B and that's saying something. We'd thoroughly recommend a stay, and... More
