Interactions with staff often make the difference in a hotel. The staff at the Hotel Excelsior in Magenta, Italy help to set this hotel apart form others near Milan. We stayed for 8 days. The hotel is across the street from the train station, whine makes traveling very convenient. We had very pleasant experiences with all the staff members throughout... More

Family owned and run hotel in the very quiet town of Magenta. All the rooms are pretty comfortable and furnished to a high standard. There is a small gym and a nice wellness centre. The rooftop breakfast room is light and airy and serves a really great breakfast by italian standards with lots of local specialities. The restaurant is also... More

I booked late for a congress and all Milan hotels were full so stayed 3 nights here. Newly refurbished, very clean and excellent staff who are willing to help. 2 minutes from railway station which means 15-30 mins to Rho Fierra exhibition centre. They have underground car parking which is best done with a smaller car. Town centre is 5... More

I have spent over 4 weeks in this hotel (over the course of 3 visits.) While the rooms are beautiful, and I love being able to walk to all my favorite restauarants (Il Duetto to name one), the summer months are difficult for me because I like to sleep in a cold room. While there is a/c it doesn't get... More

The hotel is like cold soup. Not bad, but not great neither. You eat it anyway, and don't complain too much about it. Maybe I have been spoiled on other business travels, but I was hoping for better. But perhaps this is pretty much the best choice hotel when doing business in that area of Lombardy. The hotel is family... More

The hotel is located next to the main railway line although I sometimes heard the trains, the noise was not a nuisance. Parking is on the road and a little limited, The reception was very efficient and helpful. My room was spacious. I ate in the restaurant one night and was very pleased - the service was exceptional and the... More
