This place was awful. I don't care how cheap it is... please don't stay here! The rooms were damp & stained. Thin walls so we could hear everything that happened in the bathroom next door. The staff were unfriendly. The whole place had a very sad vibe about it. We got out of there after one night & felt much... More

We have just spent the weekend at the Spittal of Glenshee and had a fabulous time. The rooms, though not ultra modern, are more than adequate and have everything you need, and more importantly are spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is good and reasonably priced and the included breakfast more than we expected. The best... More

Got a really good deal for a nights stay. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The bar was lovely with the open fire and the guinness was good. I think very much a case of you get what you pay for. If you are travelling through the area and just want somewhere to lay your head for the... More

We have been going to the Spittal for at least 20 years but have always used the bar/café. This was the first time we stayed. I always love the story of the chieftain candle sticks, and in winter it’s even more atmospheric with the fire roaring. Pleased to say they are baking sprogouats again. I like the touch of the... Went to a 60s party for nearby Glenshee Ski Centres 50th anniversary. Staff on reception very efficient and welcoming. Room although slightly dated, which is reflected in the very reasonable rates, was clean and warm with nice crisp white linen on beds. The food was fab and the waitress very friendly indeed. Bar staff were very nice too. Topped off... More

Stayed here on last minute ski holiday. Apparently got last 3 bedded room. Basic but very adequate standing that total price was £59 including full Scottish. Bar meals surprisingly more expensive but good sized portions and well cooked. Bar area was comfortable and good fun with large screen tv. Would stay again but only if snow at Glenshee a damn... Located less than 10 miles from the Glenshee Ski Centre and costing £70 for a double room for two nights(Feb 2012), as it cost us, we couldn't go far wrong. And indeed we didn't. But the hotel wasn't perfect either: the kettle had no cord with it - we asked 3 times and still didn't get one, the shower was... More
