My family loved our stay ! Everything from service to food was outstanding!! We love everything Dalmunzie! The staff are so sweet. We had the Birkmyer rooms. It was a bit noisy....the people above us were not rowdy ....it is a old castle...one has to expect this! It is part of the charm. The owner came and greeted us and... More

Did not stay at the hotel. On a stag weekend and played the 9 holes. Ideal for this, some good fun holes. Bottles of water at £2 a pop too expensive. Would recommend course to anyone who enjoys some challenging par 3's. Great setting, amazing scenery.

Excellent staff, very impressive location, beautiful and charming hotel and room, fantastic dinner and breakfast. Numerous amenities, whisky bar, snooker, golf, tennis, trekking.... The hotel is well located, close to Balmoral, and it is a very good value for money. It is a fantastic residence, and worth a detour if you are in Scotland. They also gave us complimentary cherry/tea/coffee/water... More

We stayed at Dalmunzie at a weekend in May 2012 as a wedding treat from one of our sets of grandparents. And what a treat it was! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the manager who showed us around the castle and also took us to our room (the Winton room). We were just delighted with the... More

We booked for a three night stay over the Bank holiday weekend looking forward to walking in the hills. We were not disappointed as the scenery is beautiful although we experienced the full range of weather as we started out in fine sunshine and walked through rain and snow (in May!) and then wind. We enjoyed a delicious packed lunch... More

Perhaps my wife and I were at Dalmunzie at just the right time, because everything was top notch, from the greeting, to the room, to the meals. We were passing through, so we only stayed one night. It had been a sunny day, and I planned to jog to the main road and back in the morning. When I pulled... More

We booked a night here for my partners 60th as a special treat - wonderful location but when we parked round the back the first thing you saw when you looked up was a window full of toilet rolls! Nice touch when the manager came out to greet us and then showed up round the downstairs before taking us up... More

No one can argue with the beautiful estate on which this house rests. The exterior and the grounds are charming, a quaint Victorian outpost amidst rugged Scottish splendor. The exterior itself is lovely, a nice example of repurposed Scottish baronial architecture. However, some of the more modern detailing lacked polish (open garage ports showing service areas next to the car... More

The setting is fantastic but on arrival at the hotel I was very disappointed a the rundown over all appearance from the outside. Interior is lovely, but still very rustic. The rooms were spacious but could have done with a touch up, both the furniture and the general decoration. Biggest disappointment was the bathroom. We took the Stewart room on... More

Stayed one night dinner, bed and breakfast on Saturday 10th March. The staff were helpful and kind. The room (the Wilton room) was stunning with 4 poster bed and comfy old leather sofa. I thought the sherry in the room was a lovely touch. The public rooms were great too - loved the smoking room beside the bar and the... More
