Arrival to the hotel was via a long drive through beautiful countryside and our initial view of the hotel building was impressive. The porch leading in to the foyer had a selection of toys,- croquet, footballs etc- for using on the large lawn to the front of the building. On entering the hotel, the reception was unmanned and we waited... More

We have just spent a very lovely 3 days at Dalmunzie Castle Hotel. The staff were very friendly, helpful & attentive, the rooms were clean & well kept & the food was thoroughly enjoyable. We had a beautiful four poster bed & our 12 yr old had a bed further down the room. The staff seem to have thought of... More

We stayed here for two night in January 2013. We absolutely loved it! We had a fantastic time and couldn't fault our stay! Would highly recommend. The food is out of this world! Surrounding scenery is beautiful! Such a relaxing stay! Looking forward to coming back soon!

Happened on Dalmunzie after another booking fell through. What good fortune!! This is all that is "best of Scotland". Quirky, comfortable and remarkably situated at the foot of Glenshee - minutes from Braemar, and within striking distance of Balmoral (for Royal watchers!). Staff were wonderful without being "over-the-top". The food is nothing short of exceptional! A destination to factor in... More

With a party who had sole use of the castle for a wedding. Lovely venue, the staff are all polite, courteous and efficient as well as friendly. The location is beautiful and the castle has traditional games as well as croquet and a small golf course.

Impressed by the receptionist (Emily?) who rang to check I was okay when I was v late to check in. I'd got lost driving (sat-nav issues), but she thought I was hiking and was worried. This was a good sign. Great service at this hotel. Unusual, old-fashioned (in a good way). V spacious room, good mattress etc. Big bathroom. Everything... More

My boyfriend booked dinner, bed and breakfast at Dalmunzie Castle for my birthday treat! We were so excited to stay in a castle with Rapunzel style turrets and upon arrival we were both so impressed with the beauty of the building and the area! Once inside however we were taken to our room by a young girl who gave us... More

Our kids cried when it was time to leave! The location is stunning, the staff lovely and the food & wine luxurious. The hotel is about a mile from the road, so it's perfectly peaceful. Catering to the varied dietary requirements of our group as well as to the children was no problem at all. They made the best scrambled... More

My extended family was there to celebrate a family event, and we had an absolutely amazing time. The staff was not just friendly and courteous, but went out of their way to help us with anything we needed on-site, or to arrange day trips.
