This is a great place to base yourselves if you want to soak up the very best of the Scottish highlands. Dalmunzie Castle is located in the heart of Glenshee and is surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful mountains and glens, all a few steps ways (you really can walk up mountains directly from the hotel, if that’s your thing). The hotel... More

For a supposedly high starred establishment, the hotel really needs to join the modern world with regards to its offerings /variety. It is well behind even the most basic tacky chain hotels elsewhere in the UK. For example it doesn't have fresh orange juice available for breakfast, only out of a carton. And for 'afternoon tea and coffee' well advertised... More

Thank you for your review. We would tend not to agree with your review and would like to have the time to discuss your stay with us. We are not a modern hotel that has just been built. We date back to the 1800 and as such do have some quirky ways about the hotel. Although the Queen Victoria did... More

We called in to the Dalmunzie on our way back from a long walk to enquire about evening bar meals as we were staying in one of the cottages nearby and basically there is nowhere else in the area to have a meal without traveling 25mins in the car .The girl in reception told me they indeed do bar meals... We stopped at the Dalmunzie hotel when walking in the hills around Glenshee and found the service, the quality and the friendliness of both the staff and the owners to be excellent and second to none!

We absolutely loved our stay at Dalmunzie. This is a very traditional gem of a place to stay. The views are stunning. Wish I played golf as the course is set amongst fantastic nature and scenery. We stayed in the McKenzie suite which was on the top floor and had great views all around. The food was terrific and service... More

I booked this hotel for a weekend for my boyfriends birthday. The hotel is very old and we really enjoyed staying there. The decor and furniture/furnishings have been kept old to suit the hotel and I preferred this rather than having a luxurious modern hotel. Plenty of grounds to walk in and the estate is beautiful. There is a small... More

stayed one night on a dinner bed and breakfast deal and we were generally quite happy. The location is beautiful and in the middle of nowhere and the staff were polite and welcoming . We had the three course dinner with an amuse bouche and a palate cleanser of a sorbet all of which was very nice but nothing mind... More

This hotel is in a majestic location with superb views all round. It is almost a caricature of a highland hunting lodge and it's all the better for that. Fantastic welcome and service from the attentive staff. Decanter of whisky in the room a lovely touch. Dinner beautifully cooked and served. Room lovely, if a bit on the quaint/ tired... More

Thank you for your review and we were glad to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, although disappointed that your breakfast experience was not a positive one. We do have fresh Perthshire raspberries and strawberries on the buffet daily, so we are sorry that you did not have them for your breakfast. Regards Dalmunzie Castle More

We stayed here for one night as a party of four - driving there from Aberdeen. We were amused by the TripAdvisor reviews that complained about the hotel's remote location as for us that was the major attraction and we were not disappointed. We checked in to two of the refurbished rooms with four poster beds - what a treat!... More

We stayed in a nice room in the old part of the hotel. No issues with room itself and reception staff were pleasant and tried hard. The small decanter of Scottish whisky in the room is a very nice touch. Hotel is quite isolated so no obvious alternative places to eat. Restaurant charges £45 per person for set menu (wine... More
