Id like to thank the staff and especially the managers of this hotel for such a pleasant stay, very friendly, helpful and approachable. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return! :) The hotel is very historic and the rooms tell so many storys. The manager (jenny) took time to give us a tour of the castle it was amazing.

Well, what can I say? What a fabulous trip me & my family had here. We went skiing which was great but what was better was getting back to the open fire greeted with warm drinks and sandwiches after a morning of activities. The staff were more than accomodating and I can't praise them enough, the food was lovely and... More

We had very high hopes for our stay at Dalmunzie. The phone conversations prior to booking were fairly pressured- I now realise that I was dealing with a good sales-man and I was gullable. We stayed with our 4 children ages 7,9,11 and 14. We were told there was no family rooms available and as the castle was so busy... More

We had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel over the Xmas period, with great food, great views and lovely walks in the snowy landscape. The hotel is, however, schizophrenic and I could have easily given a 5-star rating as I could have given a 1-star rating. First, the good. Great landscape and location, brilliant staff, excellent food pretty much... More

Dear Mr Smith, Thank you for you review and we were glad to reed that you enjoyed your Christmas at the castle. As for your comments regarding the castle I can only say that we have embarked on a refurb of the castle that is planned over 5 years. The owner is putting all profits made from the castle back... My birthday is on 25/12 and this year I was inspired to fulfil a long cherished dream, to stay in a castle. After some research on the tinternet I found the Celtic Castles website. You fill in your requirements on the Ask Roger, Castle Man section then the team researches for you. Dalmunzie Castle was the first castle's details I... More

We stayed here in September using a discount voucher from groupon/itison. First of all the location is absolutely stunning, the beautiful drive from the main road winds alongside the river that runs past the hotel. We had to stop at one point to let a few deer hop across the road in front of our car! The building itself is... More

Never thought I'd comment on a website regarding hotels - however Dalmunzie Castle is totally unique - go there and experience being 'at home' in a stunning location - it's the sort of hotel where you are encouraged to leave your wet walking boots in front of a roaring log fire - attentive staff - a superb chef delivering exceptional... I first visited the hotel about 20 years ago with student friends. I remembered a warm welcome and on returning this week I received the same. My friend and I sat by the fire and were looked after by Jamie who made us feel most welcome served exactly what we had hoped to find after a long journey......warm freshly baked... More

Two years had passed since our last stay and while the hotel has changed hands but it is still an incredible experience. The food remains top class and the hospitality is still wonderfully warm and welcoming. The ongoing work to the hotel also can be seen, it will look fantastic once painted. Also our room, the Winton, which we stayed... More

We stayed in the Stewart Tower room with views across the front lawn of the castle. The room was very large with a great big four poster bed that was very comfortable. I felt like a princess staying in this room. There was a nice coffee/tea set up with cookies and sherry to enjoy after dinner. The disappointing things were... More
