We booked our timeshare apartment on an exchange via DAE. We had a 1 bedroom (apartment 14) before the hotel rather than in the main resort. Though a little tired and worn in places, like a comfortable pair of old slippers, it felt relaxed and homely. Very well equipped, with beautiful views of the Loch. I would highly recommend. It... We stayed here a couple of years ago in the winter and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves so decided to try a summer vacation. We were not disappointed. The unit was right on the loch with fabulous views and clean, comfortable accommodation. If you want to relax, walk, or visit local places such as Pitlochry, Aberfeldy or drive a little further to... This older timeshare property is well maintained (though somewhat dated), clean and set in one of the most beautiful areas you'll ever see. Though we only needed staff for check-in, check-out and some laundry assistance, they were very nice and helpful. The timeshare is very remote, with only one restaurant we found within several miles. Be prepared to eat at... More

Another fabulous week with our family in magnificent surroundings. Lodges clean, comfortable and well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful as always. As an owner perhaps we are biased but we've travelled all over the world and the views don't get much better than this.

Confessions first ! My wife and I are timeshare owners at this resort, and have been for decades. It is only fair to point this out, as we clearly have a financial interest in the well being of the club, which some would think might influence this review. That would never be the case, as I always believe in giving... More

When our Daughters were young we were very fortunate in being able to stay in Lodge 38 during June (week 25) about nine years out of twelve in the 1980s/early 90s and thoroughly enjoyed. It was therefor with wonderful memories that my Wife and I returned after about 23 years to find the Lodge still in great condition and extremely... More

The apartments were spotlessly clean and had everything you would need for self catering. The view was spectacular and forever changing. The beds were so comfy, including the pull down bed. A good base to cycle, walk and have fun with the kids. Slightly out of the way but that is the glory of the apartments.

We stayed for a week at this timeshare resort with a view of Loch Rannoch. The site is well run ,the unit was spotless and was just as we expected on our first visit to Scotland. The only downside, for us, was the lack of eateries within a reasonable distance.you do need a car and be prepared to self cater

We have just spent a great week at the Red Deer apartments alongside beautiful Loch Rannoch. Beautifully appointed appartment and very spacious. The view from the balcony conservatory of the loch is stunning. Sitting there and watching the birds and with the mountains as a backdrop to the loch, well it doesn't get better. We stayed with our friend who... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Loch Rannoch Highland Club is a Timeshare Holiday complex of 85 properties in the picturesque village of Kinloch Rannoch, in Perthshire, Scotland. Our apartments and Lodges can accommodate between 4 and 8 guests. The properties are available to rent, and a few are available for resale, at very competitive prices. The Highland Club is on the banks of Loch Rannoch, a beautiful loch surrounded by walks and scenic locations. The wild Rannoch Moor stretches to the west, and the Tay Forest Park lies along its southern short. The loch, and the Highland Club are presided over by the majestic Schiehallion, or Sidh Chailleann in Gaelic (Fairy Hill of the Caledonians). This Munro is one of the best known in Scotland, and offers breathtaking views and walks.Nestled on the shores of Loch Rannoch, the Loch Secluded and tranquil, as the early morning mists rise slowly from the Loch it is easy to surmise how JM Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan during his visits to Loch Rannoch area. The imagination can envisage through the mists the bow wave from Hook's ship as it slowly moves towards its Anchorage. The clubs' set activities include; - "the clan night" where two of our tame and (usually) pacified Highlanders give an extremely interesting talk on local history, the clan system, highland dress, and weaponry. The club organised guided walks are set at a pace that everybody can enjoy. Why not spend an evening showing off your intellectual skills at the club quiz night? A water colour masterclass is also provided by the club with a guarantee that every participant will leave with a painting. Of course, no visit to Scotland would be complete without participating in a whisky tasting class. The clubs set activities are included in the price of your accommodation.Providing comfortable self catering accommodation in a breath-taking setting, with fabulous views over Loch Rannoch each unit is comprehensively fitted out with everything you could require making this your home from home in the Highlands. From Rannoch Station you can catch the train to Fort William and then carry on to Mallaig, either by ScotRail or by the world famous Jacobean steam railway following the renowned route used by this steam locomotive in the Harry Potter films.By road Pitlochry, Perth, Aberfeldy, Aviemore and Inverness are easily within day visit radius.Wi-Fi facilities are provided free on-site. ... more   less
