Now Goodnight Inn, was 6 months ago a Premier Inn large rooms and helpful staff. Village has 4 pubs and a Tesco Express, so although you are in a small village on the busy A5, you have got plenty of facilities within walking distance. Room decoration a little tired now, but clean and acceptable for the price.

Fabulous food, lovely staff, but let down by the drinks order not arriving, the same happened with the refills too and having to prompt the staff a couple of times to bring the drinks. It was a cosy and quaint pub with a real fire and lots of little cosy corners and sofas too. We will certainly go again.

The room we had was big comfortable and clean, the bed was big enough to have its own postcode. It was warm and cosy on the wintry night we visited. You can park right outside the room too so its easy to unload cases and very convenient. The Chef and Brewer Pub surprised us by providing truly wonderful meals from... More

We stayed here for two nights and found it to be exceptional value for money. The staff were excellent: friendly and welcoming. The restaurant had large choice of food, good value for money and excellent service. Breakfast was really good- freshly cooked to order and again very good value. It has just been taken over from Premier Inn so some... More

This has just been taken over from Premier Inns and actually still has all their hallmarks ,which is no bad thing. The service was more friendly and the food was much better. The best part was the price which meant the stay was even more satisfactory

The staff were so friendly in welcoming me and with the strange layout (the reception is a separate building away from most of the rooms) the staff were polite and made sure I knew exactly which building and room I would be in. As I was staying on the ground floor, the first noticeable thing entering the room was the... More

My first impression wasn't actually very good since I found in the room a used glass and there were a problem with the mattress. It s really hard me to change my mind but the the staff was really gentle. They ve switched me to another room and offered a complimentary breakfast to apologise. The restaurant is amazing. Whilst it is called the Cross Roads Hotel, we did not use the hotel and my review is JUST REGARDING THE RESTAURANT. We regularly meet friends at this restaurant as its a 'half way house' between our two homes. We are always greeted and given a lovely welcome by the waitress who always seems to be on hand when we... More
