Just returned from our 2nd visit to Guisborough Hall Hotel and once again it's been a wonderfully relaxing break. Stayed 2 nights tues to thurs and although the Hotel was very busy, the staff were fantastic!! Our room was at the front of the Hotel and had spectacular views. We had our evening meals in the restaurant on both nights... More

We have stayed as a family on numerous occasions over the years to visit relatives. This time was for a family wedding (conveniently held at the hotel!). Great service and care, again. Many familiar faces (management, reception and in the restaurant / bar). Inter-connecting family rooms are great.

Staying for my dear friends funeral, it had been years since I stayed here. The Hall, does not disappoint. The elegant Victorian building oozes quality and charm and the location setting is just superb. The staff are attentive but no over so and the food very good. This is a great hotel not to be missed.

The approach to the hotel is outstanding, set back from the road with well tended grounds. The Chaloner family bought the Monastic Estate in Guisborough in 1590. The estate was handed down through the family and Admiral Thomas Chaloner inherited it in 1857, he built the Long Hull. The property consists of the earlier house with interesting rooms such as... Within this imposing building set amidst well kept grounds lies a wonderful suprise for those seeking something iconically British. The treat that awaits is afternoon tea. Served either as a ladies or gentlemans tea, the quality is suburb, service first class and the value for money leaves you wanting to return.

We had afternoon tea as an anniversary treat and were very pleased with it. Four different finger sandwiches, 2 scones each with jam and clotted cream, a cake, macaroon, fruit tartlet and a raspberry and lemon dessert - all really nice. Decaf coffee was also available, in a cafetiere and made nice and strong as requested. The perfect amount and... More

Overall we enjoyed our stay and found it very relaxing. We booked a two night couples offer online which was a good deal including a bottle of prosecco, £10 room credit and dinner on one night. On arrival we had tea in the lounge area which was lovely and great service. On arrival to the room the prosecco was not... More

This is a lovely place. Nice big rooms even if you are in the cheaper rooms. Plenty of sitting areas dotted around the different wings. Lovely grounds to walk in and in a beautiful location. But the reason I decided to do a review was because of the big let down over breakfast. If you want a plain continental breakfast... More
