This pub was our "local" for the week. We were staying just down the road on the Felbrigg Estate. We had two meals here. The service was friendly and they were very happy to fit us in on one of the occasions despite having to cater for a big party-they managed it all very well. The food was OK. The... More

good location easy to park.We enjoyed a lovely smoked haddock and poached egg breakfast.Though when it arrived husband asked if we could have toast with it, girl serving said you make your own! Surprised as there were 6 in the dining room and other 4 had finished so had to jump up and make own toast!! Room was fine, bathroom... More

Service excellent but the meat of our main courses, both different, was so tough. The potatoes were cold and nothing stayed hot for long. Everything could have been hotter. It was all ok but I couldn't recommend Roman Camp Inn as a place to eat. Nothing was inedible otherwise we would have complained, just not hot enough and tough.

first time inside the inn, stunning and well looked after, clean and tidy. two young waiting staff amazing, smiled, welcoming and accommodating, food was fantastic and well presented, time waiting was great. Only thing that let it down was when we entered the older lady behind the bar looked so unhappy, felt like she did not want to be there... More

Having enjoyed another 2 night break at the Roman Camp, I always find it a drag to leave, which is what I said to my wife as we drove out of the car park to go home. For me, everything about this place is spot on. The owner, staff, rooms, bar area, restaurant, food, the grounds and surrounding countryside. This... More

My wife and I stayed at the hotel recently. We have stayed at many places claiming to be wheelchair friendly only to find out they were anything but. We were delighted therefore with the Roman Camp Inn for not only meeting but exceeding the description 'wheelchair friendly'. There is suitable ramp access throughout and the adapted room and ensuite wet... More

Recently used this pub whilst on a long walking weekend with a work colleague. Its a lovely building with a great garden area and plenty of parking. We drank in there on a Thurs, Fri & Saturday night and it was always quiet and I don't know why. It's clean with great comfy chairs and the most polite and hard... More

I was invited to attend a luncheon at the restaurant. The lounge area is very homely and comfortable and the dining room was very pleasantly set up. It helped that we were the only group using the room that lunchtime. Beyond the building there looked to be a well kept garden/terrace area. I would expect that the place gets very... More

We took our two 80+ parents / in laws for another lovely weekend to the Roman Camp Inn - we've been a couple of times before, and Marnie and her team always make us welcome, especially my elderly pair. The bedrooms are delightful, comfortable and very clean, and the disabled access rooms are excellent for my disabled father in law... More
