We were fortunate to stay here for one night. We had a room in the lodge not in the main castle. The rooms are recently refurbished and are beautifully done. Would highly recommend. Grounds were beautiful and fall colors stunning. Good service, breakfast was a little slow but would be a great place for a wedding. Would go back and... More

Themed bedrooms add to the delight of this castle. Beauty and history abound, and the kindness of staff truly add to the experience. Lovely lavender toiletries, unlike any other powder room goodies. Bagpipes, and falconry... Grand in every way.

Just been to Dalhousie to celebrate my sister's birthday with an afternoon tea. Served in The Orangery, the sandwiches, scones and cakes were faultless. Beautiful surroundings and professional service - all added to a great afternoon and at £15 a head cheaper than central Edinburgh and just as good.

My niece recently had her wedding here. We attended the nuptial's and breakfast, but didn't stay in the hotel itself, although we thoroughly intend to revisit ourselves next year. The castle and grounds are amazing. The registrar was a delight and made it a solemn but humorous service. We were met out of the chapel with a glass of champagne... More

To tell someone you got married in a castle, usually you get a condescending smirk with a "yeah, that's, um, great..." half-hearted affirmation. But, really, I got married in a castle. This was September 2, 2014. As we came down the hill on the road that leads to Dalhousie it just comes into view and your breath immediately leaves you.... More

We had our 10 year vow renewal celebration at Dalhousie Castle on August 26th 2014. Planning a wedding overseas can be really stressful; however, the staff and planners made everything go smoothly without a hitch. The castle was beautiful the ceremony was amazing the food was great. Reason for the 4 stars some prices were not fully explained prior to... More

This hotel was supposed to be my jewel in my honeymoon trip to Scotland, on arrival it is a beautiful Castle with some beautiful grounds, the walk in has a lovely ceiling, reception is dated, the creaky stair walk to our room was expected, the room Cockpen Fourposter is absolutely horrendous, it is definitely not how it looks in the... I stayed at the Dalhousie Castle with my parents, my husband and my two kids. Everything was excellent! The rooms were beautifully decorated and the bathrooms, excellent. The sauna is specially nice. In the evening, we had a special dinner at the dungeon, expensive but worth every penny. I strongly recommend it. After dinner, Peter, the hotel tour guide, spent... More

This beautiful castle is primarily a wedding venue, so if you are looking to enjoy a peaceful stay and want to be pampered by attentive staff, this is definitely not the place for you! If you do chance it, I would recommend you pay the extra to have your breakfast in your room as, believe me, you will wait a... More
