First I must say this B&B is a bargain, I think it is actually under priced for what it provides. This bed and breakfast really does date back to the 14th century. It has been sensitively upgraded since then. It's location in the middle of Romney Marsh is peaceful, with surprisingly far reaching views. The garden is tranquil and pretty with... More

We liked this place. One of us is allergic to feathers. The booking agency had not passed on a request for a synthetic duvet. No problem - the bedding was swiftly changed. The four poster bed was very comfortable, the shower antiquated but worked and how pleasant to be able to make decent coffee in a cafetiere first thing in... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely property - and we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived . The hosts - Dianna and Robert were very keen to tell us about where to visit , where to eat out ( and where to avoid ! ) - we really appreciated... More

We stayed for 2 nights to explore the marsh. The room was delightful and comfy. Breakfast was excellent, with a selection of fresh fruit to start, and locally sourced full breakfast. The lit fire in the lounge on a cold night was warming and welcoming

We were down here for a family celebration and found this place on the web, and all the reviews certainly didn't disappoint. We had the 4 poster room and it was lovely. Bed was warm and comfortable. And proper milk in the fridge for a cuop of tea!! Breakfast was wonderful, with all local products. Hosts are very nice and... More

Just arrived home after our second stay at this wonderful place. Everything from a welcome as warm as the log fire in the lounge, to the unbelievably comfy bed with goose down duvet, to a breakfast so good that we didn't need lunch even after a 10 mile walk means we're already looking forward to our next excuse for a... My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. We'd read loads of brilliant reviews and it didn't disappoint! The four poster room we stayed in was amazing- lovely and warm with beautiful decor. The breakfast in the morning was the best cooked breakfast I'd ever had and the hosts were very friendly. They even offered us a... More

Lovely stay. Beautiful room, fantastic attention to detail, wonderful breakfast and thoughtful, attentive and personal customer service. Nearby Tenterden for shopping and coffee a bonus. Local pub was great for an evening meal. Even sheep to view from the bedroom. Thank you xx

We really enjoyed our stay in Old Moat House. Wonderful hosts, nice rooms, lovely place and great breakfast. Good place to stay! It's central location enables you to visit cities like Dover, Canterbury, Rye and Hastings. There is also a nice pub with good food in the neighborhood.
