We stayed at this B and B in mid April as a group of couples for a birthday celebration in Liverpool. We recieved assistance from the owner on booking who helped us also book another B and B around the corner as there was too many of us to all fit this one. The rooms we were given were very... More

Slightly odd set up in that you walk through the owner's house to get to the rooms - no segregation of home B&B and you could tell they owned pets. The room itself was OK but in definite need of some TLC. The beds were clean and comfy however I did have to wash out the bath before letting my... More

This is not a cottage but a large house located in a pleasant village on the outskirts of Liverpool near John Lennon airport. We made our choice on the basis that our dog would be welcome, but sadly this was not our experience. He had to remain cooped up in the room neither seen nor heard. The owner, Carol and... More

Stayed here for a night in September. Lovely room and bathroom to die for. Carol the host was lovely and even tried to off load some of her chicks to us. Her partner greeted us when we arrived and he was a quiet man so not sure about the negative comments about him are justified.

The only thing that let's this B&B down is the miserable man that greeted me when i arrived, in fact it wasn't a greeting, it was a rude moan because I turned up when he was on the phone. The room was nice and clean, the only think that let the room down slightly was the lack of toiletries. Not... More

Bit confused on arrival as we thought we had asked for the disabled bedroom I cannot say that was definite but I do have a feeling it was what I had booked. We were put into the Hayloft which was an out building. Our room was on the 2nd floor. I struggled with the steps and got very breathless. Our... More

Cant say enough about this beautiful place to stay! Carol and Ian are the perfect Hosts and make you feel right at home! In my opinion the Cottage is the perfect distance from Liverpool to escape the hustle and bustle but also journey in one a day trip etc. This is defiantly one for my tick list and will recommend... We stayed this weekend and were delighted with our choice. The accommodation is lovely and the breakfast was wonderful. Carol and Ian made us really welcome, we will certainly stay again when in the area.

We stayed here for the grand national, and the village was lovely and the room was excellent. The breakfast was very good. The owners very welcoming. We had paid half of the price on line. Before we arrived, I phoned up to ask them if they wanted cash or card, and they didn't mind, but said cash would be nice.... More

I usually stay closer to the city centre but ended up here because all the other hotels were either full or had hiked their prices way up (due to it being Liverpool FC's last game of the season). It didn't take too long to drive into the city from the B&B, and I enjoyed the countryside atmosphere for a change.... More
