There are 38 steps up to the top rooms, two long flights as the lift isn't working, so if you have mobility problems, you might find this climb difficult. A very nice basic, clean room awaited us with a double bed (plus an extra single one). We had a view of the Mersey across to Liverpool (photos attached), slightly spoilt... More

Got a good price for an overnight stay before going into Liverpool. It's just across Liverpool next to the ferry terminal or a short drive through the tunnel. The neighbourhood is not much to look at but seems safe enough. The hotel was a bit hard to find by car at first because the sign is above eye level. Once... More

Stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The young couple that run the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy and the rooms are clean, the cooked breakfast is the best I've had from any hotel in a long time. Some areas of the hotel are still under regeneration and the owner... More

This B&B is close to the ferry so ideal for trips over to Liverpool City centre, although the ferry stops running around 6.30 pm. The B&B is very basic and run by a very nice friendly young man and his wife (I'm assuming as no one introduced themselves during our stay). This is an old warehouse so it's an old... More

Second visit to the Liver View. Great little hotel, nice clean rooms, brilliant breakfast and great hosts. Ideal for exploring the the area with walk to New Brighton, ferry to Liverpool, buses close by and convenient train service. No need to look elsewhere, this place was perfect for us.

Staying with friends to show them the sights of Liverpool, with the added bonus of mooching around Birkenhead and Wallasey - the area around the hotel is set for a MASSIVE redevelopment ("Wirral Waters", around Birkenhead Docks). The hotel has existed in various forms, including a Victorian rope factory, and pool/snooker club, then latterly a rundown hotel. Under the new... More

I have just returned home from staying two nights at the Liver View with my son, as we had tickets for a game at Anfield. Firstly we don't recognise the place from the recent negative review. We had a great stay and really couldn't fault it. All the important points were covered; very friendly welcome, clean room, really comfy beds,... More

We planned to stay here for two nights, but decided to leave after half an hour in our room... The room was very basic (but that would not have been a problem), and dirty. The lamps were covered in dust, the bathroom was smudgy and the shower door was sticky. We found hairs everywhere and wondered whether the room was... More

The owners of this hotel go above and beyond what is usually expected of any hotel and made us feel very welcome (Along with their very cute dog). Sure its got its issues (Currently being redecorated so possibly being addressed) as well as nowhere to hang a towel in the bathroom, or that the shower unit really is TOO BIG... More
