Recently attended this hotel for a function, food is excellent and hot, only downside is the bar area is too small and does not have enough staff or tills on when catering for large numbers. Other downside the draught beer tends to "go off" forcing people to buy bottles, and come on again as people leave!! The hotel is billed... More

Dear barneybuggss, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are glad to hear you had an enjoyable time with us. The draught beer only went off temporarily when we changed barrels which can take a minute or 2, we apologise if this caused any inconvenience during the evening. It was a pleasure to have you here... More

The staff where plentiful and attentive at all times . the gardens where lovely and the party made good use of them during the day and evening reception. The actual venue is trendy and... More

Personally this hotel is overrated for the price of the rooms. They want to be trendy/wacky/boutique but it just does not work. No in room coffee or tea facilities. A fluffy dog on the bed as a do not disturb sign to be left outside? A remote control for lights which is hardly practical in the middle of the night!... More

Dear britishandgrenouille, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of your business trip. Tea and coffee is served to the rooms whenever requested, we find that a remote control for the lights is more convenient for most guests as it allows you to adjust the lights to your suiting and is more accessible. We apologise for there... More

We did not enjoy our experience there is more atmosphere on the moon. The menu was limited to dishes that are easy to prepare with no chef skills required We had the rib of beef that was dry and the veg although plenty full were nothing out of the ordinary I ordered crab in avocado but they had no avocados... Dear CarlBolton, Following your email to the hotel and conversations with our colleagues, we are disappointed to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and our kitchen team are aware of the points you have raised. We are current trialling a new menu before an official launch which will see our current restaurant being re-named and a new... More

I met a colleague at the hotel for a business meeting and some lunch. The place is eccentric and relies on, in part, on a special wackiness in the way it presents itself. Coffee, a good sandwich lunch and then a pot of tea for 2 at £40 seemed reasonable indeed. But wifi wasn't strong and we kept losing reception... More

We stayed at the Leverhulme hotel in May this year for 2 nights and were very impressed. The hotel has been sympathetically restored whilst still retaining the features of its previous use as the cottage hospital. The food was lovely-breakfast consisted of a cold self-service buffet followed by freshly prepared hot food. There was a good selection and it was... More

.Beautiful building in a historic village with pleasant attentive staff. I can't comment on its suitability for weddings, corporate events or even afternoon tea but to judge by the reviews it is very good. However it is not the place to chose for a meal if you are dining as a couple. We were the only people in the restaurant.... More

Dear DaveMWirral, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, all feedback is greatly appreciated. It is unfortunate that your dining experience didn’t meet your expectations. This is a really convenient hotel if you want to visit the local art galleries and museums. Our room was great. Comfortable bed, excellent walk-in shower, access to Internet, and efficient room service. We had one evening meal which was absolutely delicious. My one complaint would be that the cooked breakfast took an age to arrive each morning even though... More

Went for afternoon tea this afternoon with my parents. It was truly wonderful and they had a lovely afternoon. They even made a foil basket so we could take un eaten cakes home. If you have not visited Port Sunlight you should. It's been there 10o years and still looks like the place to live

My husband and I got married at the Leverhulme Hotel on Saturday 4th April 2015 and had an amazing day. Amanda and her team made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble to arrange, including making special arrangements for the children. Sherrie was a fantastic host throughout the day, taking care to look after the wedding party... More
