This was our first visit to Dumbleton and we were really impressed. It is a lovely building in a beautiful parkland setting - very peaceful and relaxing. We had 3 nights bed, breakfast and dinner in a very nice, large, comfortable, quiet room. The food was excellent with a good choice at both breakfast and dinner, all very well presented.... More

Great building and grounds, Be ready to walk up and down stairs as the lift take ages and is small., not a problem for us but there were lots of oaps. Lacking staff in the restaurant had to remind them we were still waiting twice after half an hour for breakfast and dinner.. They did not have the wine I... More

My passion in life appears to be searching for wonderful country house hotels in England. I have been doing this for well over 30 years and it never ceases to amaze me how many magnificent homes remain in the UK. This review covers only Sunday lunch, as we were staying elsewhere in the vicinity. However, after walking around the hotel... More

The location and the beauty of the grounds of this hotel were the main attraction for us to book at Dumbleton Hall. (Also a good deal for a 3 night stay!). The booking in was quick and efficient. Our room on the second floor was spacious, with a large bathroom and comfortable bed. (A mini fridge in bedrooms would be... More

We have used the hotel for a re-union of friends from across the UK for the last 3 years. Food is good homely fare but is not fine dining and dinner choices are made prior to entry into the dining room which may not suit all. The location itself is fantastic with lovely expansive grounds to stroll in. Being in... More

We visited for one night on the day of our wedding. We had eaten in the restaurant previously but never stayed. We were able to take our dog with us which was another reason for choosing Dumbleton Hall. We arrived in the early evening to find that the premier suite we had booked had a plumbing problem and we had... More

We stayed for one night on a travelzoo discount voucher. The hotel and gardens are beautiful and well kept and there are beautiful walks you can do on the grounds. It is very peaceful and you can truly relax here. The service is good. Breakfast is also good. Dinner however was not the standard I would expect but passable. The... More

We went to Dumbleton Hall for a weekend through a voucher website. After visiting, we probably wouldn't go again for full price. Set in it's own grounds, it is very peaceful and nice to have a walk around in the day. A little out of the way but that was half the reason we visited. Bar prices a little higher... More

Spent a weekend away as a family, and loved it. the rooms were clean and spacious, with nice views over the grounds; staff were efficient and approachable, albeit they had 2 weddings to deal with while we were there, and I got the feeling there was a bit of stress around Friday's wedding! The food was all we've come to... More

On our visiting to Bath, we stayed at Dumbleton Hall Hotel for two nights, first reason, it was kind of half way between Leeds and Bath, second reason was the hotel looked so beautiful in the picture – like a fairytale castle! It turns out to be a very nice and quiet place. We had a lovely walk up to... More
