My other half and I stayed at this hotel on a 2 day voucher. The hotel is very grand and offers a peaceful and relaxing stay. We took our dog with us and he loved it. The room was very spacious with views over the back garden, the bathroom was huge with loads of hot water. Beds incredibly comfortable, didn't... More

The setting is stunning but the hotel does not live up to its impressive exterior. Our room was tiny! When I asked for another room I was shown one of the same size. They had nothing else available apparently. I booked a month prior to our stay. The room was overwhelmingly hot & the old sash window did not open.... More

I took my Mother for afternoon tea, the surroundings are beautiful, staff were very friendly. The afternoon tea came on a china stand with sandwiches and a selection of cakes and pastries. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and tasted very good, as did the scone , however the rest was a disappointment. There was a mini eclair which looked and... More

Lovely location and great value. The room was spacious with sofa and relaxing area and very large bathroom. The food in the restaurant was incredible! So very tasty. The only negative I would say was the drinks prices which were a little steep. Overall a lovely weekend away though.

On the long approach along a winding drive we were impressed by this massive Victorian stately home set in green parkland with sheep and daffodils. Parking was conveniently right near the entrance, double doors led into a large reception hall. Reception was a little strange I thought, the receptionist sat at a large desk with a laptop. She was very... More

We had been given a Virgin Experience and chose this hotel from those on offer, as it is in an area with which we were not familiar. The hotel itself is an old manor house in beautiful grounds beside a lake and at this time of year there are daffodils and blossom as far as the eye can see. We... More

We stayed on two weeknights in early April, and found the location and the Hotel to be far better than expected from the reviews. LOCATION Beautiful grounds with an adjoining field of sheep and very young lambs, which was lovely. The grounds are amazing (19 acres, so a great walk in a country setting, and behind the hotel amongst daffodils... More

This was my second stay at the hotel within twelve months, which is a pretty good recommendation. I arrived late on a Sunday evening and was still able to get a sandwich delivered to the bar even though the kitchen staff had finished. The staff were friendly and helpful, although earlier in the afternoon I had been unable to get... More

Dumbleton Stayed her last year but had to leave early because of snow so was really looking forward to a return visit. So far we have been very disappointed! The food on our first night was distinctly average. I had the tortellini starter which arrived with a very watery sauce and some really tough mushrooms and my husband had the... More

My husband and I went for a couple of days to Dumbleton Hall. We arrived at 3pm and given our key to the room. When we went upstairs to our room it had not been made up, nor had loads of bedrooms! I complained to reception and asked for tea while the room was got ready. When we went to... More
