This premier inn looks from the outside like a 1970s motel park. But when you get inside your room it's all mod cons and really is quite nice. Massive 42 inch TV comfy bed and pillows. The ship inn pub next to the premier inn is really nice too. Staff at both were very welcoming.

Standard premier inn, good sized clean rooms with comfortable beds. Our room had a very small bathroom but this doesn't seem to be the case for all rooms as friends in the same hotel had bigger bathrooms. Service in the pub/restaurant next door wasn't great but the food was fine and hotel staff were great.

The room we stayed in had been newly refurbished. The bed was comfortable and large and the room temperature fine. At £81 for a bed for 1 night I felt it was expensive. However, having been really badly let down by the B and B we had booked, we had to make a very last minute booking. The room was... More

Stayed at a few Premier Inns this week. This was quite nice as my room had been recently renovated. Pros: lots of car park spaces, large room looking onto cricket pitch and useable balcony. Cons: Key collection (checked Inn online) took at least ten minutes as only one person; bath smaller than average; bathroom door stuck as it had been... More

Really big family room with balcony looking out to the cricket ground, recently this hotel has undergone whitbreads refurbishment programme and it looks and feels really "grown up". So that's the aesthetic, it's the people that make the place and they did, very warm, plenty of smiles and everyone seemed happy to be there, really nice to see. I noted... More

We stayed here on our first leg of our journey down to Penzance and found it an ideal stopover. Definitely recommend rooms overlooking cricket pitch which had a lovely view. Room itself was spacious, clean and comfy bed. We did not stay for breakfast-partly based on earlier reviews although the Ship Inn did look like it was under new management-and... More

After paying under £50 for a double room I was dubious about what to expect. We stayed to break up the journey from France to Leeds. The welcome (very late!) was fantastic and check in was the fastest I'd seen. The room was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. Staff thoughout were lovely, especially the manager in the morning who sought... More

room 135 ,if you are a large person ,forget it ,you will have some difficulty negotiating the bath room ,shaver sockets have not been renewed during b/room refurb. ,traffic noise is omnipresent & the double glazing is not very effective as a sound proofer.Great new telly though!! Restaurant & bar closed for refurb. Booked a twin bedded room ,got a... More

While this has an old motel feel to it and isn't well marked from the road, we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. Bath was completely booked up and we came here as overflow. This was one of the cleanest lodgings we stayed at anywhere in England! The beds were quite comfortable, the bathrooms looked newly renovated and... More

If you stop here don't accept the room under the stairs, its an old store room with little room to swing a cat and the noise is relentless. The Wifi doesn't work but guess what.... you can pay for the premier inn superior wifi!!!!! not exactly connected to their customers!!
