We stayed at the Alveston House Hotel from a Saturday for 3 nights on a 3 course Dinner, Bed & Breakfast package. The hotel was pleasant, conveniently located for the motorways and local sights, albeit affected by the traffic noise from the immediately adjacent A38. This meant keeping the windows closed during the rather stuffy nights. The staff were extremely... More

We have just had a wonderful stay here for a wedding celebration and found everything very pleasant. Room we had was a double and as e were only on an overnight found it adequate, very clean and well appointed, it would have been a bit small for a longer stay but we were more than satisfied. Food was excellent and... More

we had our wedding day here on the 28th June, and what a wonderful day we and all our guests had. The hotel and all the staff were very attentative to our needs from the original meeting right up to the wedding day. We celebrated our Ruby Wedding Anniversary by having an afternoon cream tea for our family and friends at the hotel. The setting and food were excellent, and all the staff were very helpful and attentive. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and the hotel contributed greatly to making our anniversary a very special day.

Very impressed. Lovely meal - very helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. We stayed the night and even though there was a wedding party, our room was lovely and quiet with a really comfortable bed. Impressive full English breakfast plus selection of fruit juices, fresh fruit and cereal. I would highly recommend. John

From what we saw, Bristol is not over supplied with good accommodation. Luckily we found Alveston House Hotel. The biggest surprise is that it is only a 3* simply due to things like no 24 hr room service. The room was spacious, and very well decorated, although a little noisy being on the street side. Excellent pleasant service from Martin... More

Very helpful staff, good atmosphere at all times, clean, smart Hotel. Food and Restaurant service very good, perhaps a little more choice on menu/variety would be good. Would probably upgrade room if visited again for more room

Best cream tea beautifully served in a sunny garden, quality linen table cloth and napkins, real clotted cream, home made scones and jam, wide choice of lovely fresh sandwiches, highly recommended. Gill.

My husband and I have just returned from The Alveston House Hotel having been treated to afternoon tea as a present. As a coeliac, I didn't expect much, but was very pleasantly surprised: the gluten-free sandwiches (smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese and egg mayo) were moist and delicious; my husband ate the latter as I'm not keen on egg,...
