On a visit to my son in Bristol he did a Google search for somewhere to go to for afternoon tea and he picked out the Alveston House. The day was warm and sunny, we had the beautiful garden to ourselves and the full afternoon tea was the icing on the cake, so to speak. A crisp cotton cloth and... More

Stayed for one night on July 18. The staff were very helpful, the room was clean and well maintained if but a little small. Breakfast was excellent wide choice and the full english breakfast, which is served to order was piping hot. Would stay there again without hesitation

I have now taken to using this hotel every time i stay in the area because the whole experience is fantastic, especially after a busy day at the office. The welcome is wonderful from all the staff and to top it all the food is amazing. I was tempted to give a bad review so that i have the place... More

Coming from Dubai, I will say the rooms are smaller than I am use to. However, the hotel is really nice and the decor is stylish. Staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The chef is very talented and if you are staying here, you have to sample his menu. Waiting staff are very efficient and friendly. I... More

I spend many evenings working away from home across the South West and the times spent in the many Hotels can be very lonely and there are certain things I regard very highly, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and most of all good food. I can honestly say that the team at Alveston House takes some beating! The guys are really friendly and... More

Stopped there on business for the first time. Scrupulously clean with rooms of a good standard. The food was to a reasonable hotel standard, perhaps not fine dining but more than adequate. The key thing is the staff: unfailingly nice, efficient and helpful. In some ways staying there is like going back in time to the ways of good family... More

I presented at the Alveston Hotel on Saturday 20th June 2015 around 530 pm requesting accommodation for the night. I was advised that they were fully booked and although I did not mentioned it I was feeling desperate as I was fast running out of options. As I went to depart one of the staff said "oh there is Room... More

The staff were so welcoming. As we had an elderly dog with us I phoned the hotel prior to our visit to ask about stairs. The hotel changed our room so there were not too many stairs and we were nearer to the garden. The food was superb. We would definitely stay there again.

This hotel has a bit of old fashioned charm about it. Firstly the staff both on the phone and in person could not have been more accommodating and helpful. You really felt that your stay was important to them. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. I had reserved a standard double for single occupancy and it was okay. The room... More

We chose The Alveston House Hotel for our Wedding in April and had a fantastic day. We looked at a number of venues but these seemed impersonal and had set packages. We knew, from having our 50th &60th celebrations here, that The A H H would listen to what we wanted and would take a genuine interest in making sure... More
