Excellent B&B, thoroughly recommended! The owners were very friendly & the room was very clean. Ideal 'stop over' when travelling South. We would like to return and check out the local area. Thank you.

We stayed for one week in Garden Cottage, with our two year old little girl. We were warmly greeted by both Bill and Loraine and both of them took the time to make us feel at home and introduce us to our cottage. They even got out a Cosy Coupe Car for our daughter to play with. They also have... More

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying in the B&B and having previously had a holiday in the self-catering cottages I cannot recommend it highly enough! Bill and Loraine welcomed us with tea and fresh homemade scones on arrival and the level of hospitality throughout our stay was first class. The room was immaculate and very spacious... More

We have stayed here on a number of occasions as its local to my parents. The place is immaculate and previously we have always had a warm welcome from Bill and Lorraine. All I can say is this time it appears we were ripped off on an agreed price when going up to celebrate my fathers birthday weekend!! We arranged... More

We are committed to treating all our guests with courtesy and respect, and our published tariffs are clearly accessible via our Website. We would also confirm that our self catering cottages are let by the week, but are available for short breaks, a minimum of three nights, between November-March. We regret that these guests were unhappy about our costs, in... More

Hosts - Lorriane and Bill Frew have nailed hospitality! My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at gorgeous Byreburnfoot for 5 nights. We had a sunny, and beautifully decorated room, with a lovely sitting area, spacious bathroom, and wonderful views overlooking the magnificent gardens. The linens were the highest thread-count, finest Egyptian cotton, that were beautifully crisp yet... More

Beautiful house in a lovely peaceful location. We had a lovely room with nice bathroom. Lots of animals around and owners were lovely! So friendly and kind. We had a deliciois dinner there which they cooked with local ingredients, mostly home grown. Highly recommended. it is easy to find but please READ THEIR DIRECTIONS BEFORE YOU SET OFF! Don't trust... Our family stayed here for a nearby gathering in Canonbie - some in the house and some in the self-catering cottages. All were agreed that the facilites and attention to detail were very impressive. We would definitely recommend Byreburnfoot for its beautiful quiet surroundings and excellent accommodation.

I've stayed in many B&Bs and this one ranks among the top two or three. A beautiful, comfortable and immaculately clean house in a loverly setting. But the icing on the cake are your hosts. Bill and Lorraine are two of the friendliest, most pleasant people you could meet. happy to chat with you but without being intrusive. Bill's cakes... More

In 60 years of staying at a wide selection of B&Bs, chambres d'hote and small country hotels mainly in France and the UK, Byreburnfoot must sit right at the top of the list! The welcome from Bill & Loraine, their continuing friendly attention and hospitality, the accommodation with every comfort and smallest detail so carefully provided for, the delicious food... More

First class accommodation, great location, friendly hospitality and brilliant hearty food made from local produce. Bill and Lorraine were wonderfully welcoming, making our anniversary break very special. Dinner and breakfast were really enjoyable, especially the home baked bread and smoked salmon caught on the river near the house, we even saw a picture of the catch. Beautiful room and enjoyed...
