Lovely B&B just a short walk from the river. A very friendly B&B and made me feel at home. I stayed at the last minute when I fancied some fishing and although I didn't take a catch home it was made up for the lovely stay I had. My room was really comfotable and although a single I was surprised... More

We stayed in the cabin which was very clean and furnished with lovely modern furniture. Stuart and Joanne were very attentive. Very relaxing holiday. The new hot tub on the balcony was a bonus, so obviously fealt obliged to try it out with a glass of wine overlooking the lovely surrounding scenery. :)

Thank you to Stuart & Joanne for making my stay absolutely perfect. I have stayed at many hotels & B&B's in many countries in my travels and the North Lodge is the best I have stayed at to date (Trump towers in Chicago, eat your heart out), this place has it all... It was so good to return to the... More

We stayed in the log cabin, although very close in vicinity to the b&b, we had Stuarts assurance that we would have privacy throughout our stay . And true to his word we enjoyed our time in the newly installed hot tub on the veranda , with the most spectacular view of the stars on a clear night , and... More

As a returning group of very fussy Rally fans we came back to Stuart and Joannes for the 3rd time and again North Lodge provided a great place to rest a tired head. We stayed for 2 nights again and as last year Stuart stoked up the hot tub and it was beautifully warm exactly when we wanted it. If... More

Luckily we only stayed here for one night as was the worst B&B out of 10 we used on a touring trip to Scotland & England. The room was cold with no heat at all. The windowsill was filthy & mold in the corner plus dead flies. Tea & coffee was in the hallway to be shared with all rooms.... More

Thank you to Stuart and Joanne for a great weeks stay in the Cabin and bed and breakfast. Perfect hosts. A great location for peace and tranquility and easy access to some superb scenery and sights to explore. Nothing being too much trouble. Thanks for a first class breakfast yesterday Stuart with eggs as fresh as they come. People who... More

Found this gem of a B&B for an overnight stop on the way to Stranraer to catch a ferry to Northern Ireland and we are so glad we did. Arrived a little tried after a long drive from Gloucestershire to a very warm welcome and pot of tea in the gazebo overlooking the pond. A short drive from Gretna Green,... More

Having had such a fantastic experience here on a previous visit I booked to stay again for the recent bank holiday weekend. I had promised a return trip after my first experience and I was certainly not disappointed. Again we were greeted on arrival and the hosts Stuart and Joanne were very friendly. They delighted in advising of local attractions... More

The group of 4 of us booked North Lodge once again and Stuart has managed to improve what was already a fantastic B&B. We booked both the double room and twin room in the house and cabin and as usual Stuart is the perfect host. When we arrived I'd already arranged the hot tub which Stuart had been feeding all...
