I leave hotel bookings to my wife, and up until this trip, she's always found us the nicest of places. We had booked a 4 night Haven holiday, and decided to go down on the Sunday to extend our trip. Our usual Premier Inn in Torquay was fully booked, with it being a bank holiday weekend, and a B&B we... More

We stayed here over a very busy bank holiday and could not fault it. The room was lovely with a huge 4 poster bed and old fashioned footed bath. The bar and reception staff are all reallly friendly giving us ideas of where to go out in the day and helping us out when we couldn't get our tv to... More

Fortunately we were only here for one night, but it was not a good start to our holiday in Devon. We found the hotel on a bookings site but rang the hotel direct to book. We booked 2 standard rooms, and were told by the female manager who took the booking that she'd reserved a triple room for my daughter... More

We've been aware of this hotel for a very long time as we have relatives in the area and first visited as wedding guests back in the 80s. We've had a few Sunday lunches there over the years, but never actually stayed in the hotel until this July. We love it! It's quirky and there's a surprise around every corner.... More

Absolutely loved this place! Its not my usual style of hotel but I was taken in by the photos and fancied trying something a bit different. It was well worth it! The hotel and its collection of medieval antiques is amazing and everything is authentic. It's really dark and spooky but in a good way! So many bits and bobs... More

Oh.My.Gosh. I was dazzled when we walked in!!! This is a Medieval manor house, and it is authentic! The decor transports you back in time, and it is truly magical! The pub and dining rooms have original huge ancient fireplaces, heavy beaked ceiling, original stone floors, crooked walls in the hall, and abundant candlelight to give you the Medieval ambiance.... Good afternoon, I would firstly like to apologise for the service that you have received when dining with us at the hotel.
