If you like pristine hotels and are not fond of dogs then this wouldn't be the place for you. However if you don't go you would miss a unique experience. It is full of character and packed with beams, historical paintings, suits of armour, candelabra and elaborately carved furniture. Add to that narrow staircases leading to rooms and several hidden rooms which come... More

A beautiful location and stunning venue that is made the best if in the main rooms. It is a grade 2 listed building but the quaintness of the rabbit warren is appealing. Good glat groundfloor access and good access for wheelchairs/disabled let down by lack if allocated disabled parking the dark and dingy mirror less disabled facility (which could be... More

My partner and I stayed here for only one night and we wished that we could have stayed for longer. We stayed in a sweet over looking the front cortyard. We had a four poster bed and in the on sweet there was a roll top bath and separate shower. The room was very clean and tidy. The staff were... More

This is such a conglomeration of styles and eras we felt it needed the touch of a professional interior designer. It has so much going for it, but we kept getting the giggles each time we turned a corner and saw another suit of armour or rather inappropriate fake portrait. But if you like quaint and quirky, this is the... More

We have visited this hotel on many occasions with friends, but decided this time to have lunch, the food was excellent and the staff were very pleasant. The setting is lovely, especially sitting in the gardens. Although it is not very far from Torquay and Brixham, it is certainly far from the maddening crowd.

What a great place to stay, This was our 6th visit and will not be our last. Every time we visit the staff are so helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice to suit anyones needs and the service is first class. Lunch and evening meals can work out to be a bit expensive, we tend... More

This was our 6th stay at Churston and yet again another wonderful holiday. The rooms are all different and each tastefully decorated and full of history, each one is named after an important person in history. The breakfasts suit everyone's needs as there is plenty of choice and plenty of good quality food. We have breakfast and then go to... More

Now we must say that we will always be biased towards Churston Court as we were married here however we will always be truthful in our reviews. We arrived yesterday for one night as part of a four night Devon break. Although we had been allocated a double room we were immediately upgraded to a Superior suite once the staff... More
