Very friendly barman. but the locals talked in welsh made us feel unwelcome. I had cod and chips it was minced fish in soggy batter. not fresh, My wife had lasagne that seemed average but she left half of it. won't go again

We stayed here over the bank holiday weekend . It was a last minute booking and many of the other hotels were fully booked. The owner was welcoming and because we had paid for a room with a view she gave us two complementary bottles of wine for the nights we had booked. All the rooms being fully booked and... More

Just came back from a 2 night stay here and cannot believe the hotel only has 2 stars! The rooms were clean and pleasant and the food was lovely ( evening meal and breakfast) We had a very friendly welcome and the staff did everything they could to ensure our stay was a good one! The location was great, just... More

We were staying in the area and stopped in for a meal, I would recommend the the rump steaks they were superb, they were very accommodating when I requested salad instead of chips. The quality of the food was excellent and the service was quick friendly and efficient. We were so impressed we returned the following evening, my husband had... More

Carvery of the best order, although on this occasion the beef was a little rare, but most Chefs deliver it this way.A nice meal in a dated but delightful atmosphere.Would be a good start to a holiday in West Wales.

We stopped for the night on our way North. Hotel in a lovely location with a stunning view to the back. For the price the food and accommodation were fine and breakfast great. A very friendly welcome. I would recommend it. It's quite basic but all you need for a good night's rest.

An impulse booking, made us very very welcome, beer was great, food average,as was the room, comfortable enough, just needs a wee bit of updating, this is very much an olde worlde hotel with a proper country bar. Great views from the back garden complete with friendly old English sheep dog, our room 5 had a fire exit so the... More

Just stayed here for 4 nights, whilst on a birding trip with a small group, we were made very welcome by our hosts, and the staff had us laughing from start to finish, small bar were you can partake of a drink before going into the dining area, for the best evening meal in a hotel I have had for... We stayed overnight after visiting the area, we requested a larger room and found room 3 to be a good size and comfortable, it also had some amazing views. The hotel is situated on the busy main road and does have a small garden and seating area. The hotel does offer evening food which is served in the small restaurant... More

This is a quaint and rather endearing, friendly , family run small hotel in Mid-Wales. Quirkily old-fashioned but this rather cheers me up versus modern hotels. Room 4 was compact, but cosy, and was gloriously south-facing with a magnificent view. Breakfast was OK, and evening meals were substantial, well coooked and good value. Lovely sun-trap beer garden. One or two... More
