My wife booked this as a surprise short nreak for my birthday and it was wonderful to be able to take our dog, The staff are friendly and very down to earth, bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the food is delicous. It definatley has the feel of a working farmhouse and the decor is a little dated but hey... More

We were stranded near Aberporth on a Saturday night at 9pm with no accommodation available as was a busy Saturday night and after much ringing around we discovered this place that had one last room free. The owners of this B& B were lovely and waited for us to turn up at 10.30pm. We were offered a drink at the... More

This place was booked the night before and with a little hesitation, this was mainly due to it having so little reviews. First of all if you don't like Dogs, Cats or Horses then I suggest you don't book here as they had 5 dogs, 2 cars and 1 horse that we seen on our visit. If you do like... More

We stayed with Neil and Stef for three nights over Easter weekend when we were visiting friends in the area. Because of our stay length and the fact we had our dog with us, we were given the suite at the back of the house, with its own entrance, looking directly out over the fields and small lake. The bed... More

We decided to saty here on a whim as we despeately needed a few days away as a whole family, dogs included. We travelled for 5 hours to get there and it was worth it. Greeted with a great big bowl of spag bol for all of us and a little bowl for my son as well. The food was... More

Owner was friendly to start with but then changed her tune, becoming frosty and unwilling to pay attention and serve food to guests. She was more pre occupied with her dogs and her own friends staying in the house at the time. The meal portions were tiny and not value for money. There was no choice of menu and we... More

Sadly we only got a short overnight stay in a pretty part of Wales. Arrived very late in the evening. Lovely welcome by the owner. Room was good, spacious and comfortable with a great view over the countryside. Shame we were off so early the next morning to work.

Ffynonwen is a perfect place to relax and recharge ones' batteries! We were desperate to find somewhere were our dog would be welcomed as much as us and we have found it here. Neil and Stef are very friendly hosts, anxious to make sure that your stay is a good as possible. As other visitors have commented, Ffynonwen is not... More

What a lovely spot Ffynonwen is set in ....Sadly I have to agree that this place COULD be a gold mine but is in need of some care and attention which is a shame ...We had a reasonable price for BB&EM and stayed for 3 nights there were new carpets in the room and it was freshly painted , beds... We stayed here and though as others say it is basic, we felt welcomed and at ease in the guesthouse. We did not feel as if we where being monitored or expected to stay out all day as most B&B's. We had a really good sleep both nights we where there and it was our alarm which woke us for... More

A family run establishment, 1 mile from the sea, set in 20 acres of countryside with a young beef herd during our summer months. Our lakes are available for coarse fishing from early 2005. The beautiful coastline is a minute away with its abundant sea life and sandy beaches. The free ranging chickens provide us with eggs at breakfast and the young peacocks are a permanent attraction for our more curious visitors. All rooms are en-suite and we accommodate 10 comfortably. We have an olde worlde licensed bar with log fires during the colder seasons which compliments our Restaurant for friendly service and conversation.
