My wife and I decided to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary coupled with a three day stay, let me say at the outset we could not have chosen better. The staff were friendly, helpful and went beyond the call of duty to ensure that all the arrangements went to plan. We were given a separate private dinning room which was... More

Stayed here for a week. A lovely little hotel with an attention to service and really great food! Has a homely feel. The bar looks more like my grandmas living room...which makes you feel oddly relaxed. Definately recommend it!

This is the hotel with the curl but either way, as another reviewer mentioned the plumbing has a mind of its own. NICE ROOM I have stayed in a refurbished room and they are very well laid out, warm and comfortable but (as “The Sherriff” said) the bathroom looks nice but is let down by both the water pressure and... TripAdvisor bills this as No.1 in Duxford which is not difficult, given the size of the village. Let me start with the good stuff. The hotel has nice staff, who are friendly and helpful. There is free wireless internet throughout which seems capable of dealing with heavy loads. Dinner is not particularly imaginative but OK. Now the downside, especially for... More

Thank you for your comments and I am pleased you found the staff to be friendly. With regard to dinner - we have an A La Carte Menu and Light Bites & Specials which we feel offers a good choice for all tastes. I can only apologise if breakfast was not up to standard - we usually receive very favourable... More

Charming period property conveniently located for Duxford Air Museum (5 mins taxi £8) in a quiet residential setting. Warm welcome from Inga on reception who was also very helpful with directions, booking taxi etc. Room was one of their pleasant garden rooms (single storey ground floor extension overlooking courtyard garden) which was spacious, clean, well furnished and included a lovely... The main bulding is a nice old lodge hotel. Unfortunately our 'Executive double with four poster bed' was not nearly as nice as the pictures ( or price) would suggest. It was in an annexe , which felt like a holiday chalet. The room was spacious & the bed was comfy. The bathroom however was dreadful. It was dirty and... More

Decent hotel, quite old building which needs renovation. The rooms were clean and spacious, though the carpets were stained. Had every day clean towels. Breakfast good. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Not ideal if you don't have a car, due to poor bus service (Bus to Cambridge every hour up to 18:00).

The internet reviews and pictures look great, but in reality the hotel is old and tired. The beautiful 'wedding' pagoda looked old and rusty and first impressions as I entered were what I have I let myself in for! Worn carpets as I went upstairs to a bedroom that was not enticing. More worn and stained carpets, splashes on the... More

We had a function room for a lunch to celebrate a Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The arrangements and the event on the day couldn't have gone better. Janet and the rest of the staff were so efficient and everything went just how we wanted it. The room was great, light with lovely views over the garden. We were able to relax... More

My family 2 adults and 2 children recently stayed and we were charged an extra £25 per child aged 2 and 5. When we arrived the room was not set up for the children and no extra towels. Once set up had 2 extra beds however I do believe that £25 per child was expensive the rollaway bed was not... More
