This place could so easily be turned into a really nice boutique hotel with a bit of investment and some imagination. As it is it is like so many UK country hotels - rather faded! Our room was perfectly adequate - comfortable bed, a couple of chairs (so many hotels fail in this respect, so well done Duxford Lodge), a... More

I dont know where the last reviewer was staying, but didnt sound like the Duxford Lodge we stayed in! Had our wedding and reception there on Sunday and could not be happier! Fantastic service, couldnt do enough for us, all staff very helpful and Sue the manager was absolutley amazing! Sorting things out for us without being asked. The food... More

We stayed in one of the garden rooms for two nights. The hotel and staff are friendly and service is very good. Food, both breakfast and evening meal are excellent. The hotel is in a lovely and pleasant position set in its own gardens, close to the Duxford Imperial War Museum (which we visited). Only downside to the hotel is... More

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Very dated interior, massively overpriced and appalling service. Very rude and seemed like every simple request was too much to ask. The included breakfast was also horrible. I'd recommend spending a quarter of the cost on a travel lodge or somewhere similar.

Just one night, arrived early, checked in but could not get to room, we were early. Girl on desk booked us a taxi to get to Vineyard we wanted to visit. Arrived back at hotel early evening, went to room, not a bad size but decor was dated. Bathroom carpet/flooring was rather stained, bath plug without chain, dirty grouting etc.... More

Duxford Lodge is a small hotel set in a lovely garden , we had a garden room which was the stables originally , we had difficulty opening the door and we were met with a very badly stained carpet and a four poster bed, a spacious room and bathroom both in need of updating!!. We had drinks in their bar/lounge... More

This was our third visit to Duxford Lodge, this time a lunch party for my mother- and father-in-law's 60th wedding anniversary. We were a party of 16 so had pre-ordered food which all arrived piping hot, beautifully cooked and delicious. No problems with the meals, everything was delivered to the table discreetly and accurately. The service we received throughout, from... More

Booked this via Hotels.com as looking for somewhere after visiting Chilford Hall vineyard. Found it after some confusion with the postcode (Hotels.com site was incorrect) but phoned and they confirmed the correct. Room on the top floor was good, quite warm, but a fan provided. Might have been a problem if experiencing walking difficulties. Was very clean and comfortable. The... More

I stayed at Duxford Lodge regularly for a few months. I tried several hotels in this area and Duxford Lodge came out best overall when all factors are considered. The overall feel is of a small, well run, traditional English hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient, and looked after me very well. The rooms vary in size, and all... More
