Duxford Lodge is a small hotel set in a lovely garden , we had a garden room which was the stables originally , we had difficulty opening the door and we were met with a very badly stained carpet and a four poster bed, a spacious room and bathroom both in need of updating!!. We had drinks in their bar/lounge... More

This was our third visit to Duxford Lodge, this time a lunch party for my mother- and father-in-law's 60th wedding anniversary. We were a party of 16 so had pre-ordered food which all arrived piping hot, beautifully cooked and delicious. No problems with the meals, everything was delivered to the table discreetly and accurately. The service we received throughout, from... More

Booked this via Hotels.com as looking for somewhere after visiting Chilford Hall vineyard. Found it after some confusion with the postcode (Hotels.com site was incorrect) but phoned and they confirmed the correct. Room on the top floor was good, quite warm, but a fan provided. Might have been a problem if experiencing walking difficulties. Was very clean and comfortable. The... More

I stayed at Duxford Lodge regularly for a few months. I tried several hotels in this area and Duxford Lodge came out best overall when all factors are considered. The overall feel is of a small, well run, traditional English hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient, and looked after me very well. The rooms vary in size, and all... More

A catalogue of problems and issues: No one at check-in on arrival. Had to wait 10 minutes. Couldn't provide a VAT receipt to aid express check out when checking in. Needed to leave very early next morning so requested a basic breakfast (cereal / coffee) for approx. 6.30am to be left out the night before. Was refused as 'can't keep... More

We filled the entire hotel for four days using it for a base during our Spring Rally. We were made very welcome and the kindness and commitment of the staff was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very comfortable and the chef produced excellent meals for 35, not bad for a hotel that usually caters for 25.... More

I fouind this hotel on trip advisor and saw the comments others had left, I booked an executive double room on the top floor. I put in the request that it was my wifes birthday and could we have the best room if possible. We arrived too early to get into the room but whilst they checked we were given... More

I stayed one night in the middle of delivering two days' worth of seminars in one of the function rooms. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay and having fast Wi-Fi in my room as well as the function room made my work so much easier I had steak for dinner and it was excellent, breakfast was a... We booked the restaurant for a family celebration (father in laws 80th birthday) because the sample a la carte menu online appealed to us. When we were actually given the Saturday evening menu it consisted of "pub grub". I asked if there was any other fish than salmon and was told no (I don't eat meat) so I had to... More

We are sorry we did not live up to your expectations and we are in the process of changing the menus shown on our website. Unfortunately we have experienced a downturn in demand for fine dining and find it is not financially viable to purchase and keep all the ingredients required for a Rosette restaurant offering an extensive A La...
