Stay away unless you are happy to be robbed (credit cards stolen from your bedroom) or ripped off. The management is non-existent and every corner has been cut - no heating, poor lighting, sub-standard meals etc. etc. We were cold, hungry and p****ed off by the pathetic service at this dump. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. They are living on... more

What an amazing treat. Excellent food and wonderful offers on a menu. Having been here on a number of times it keeps me coming back over and over again. more

We had a very enjoyable weekend here, and found the staff very child friendly (we had two children under 3 with us). The food was good, and the dining room very snug as a storm raged outside. I imagine that the gardens - and the whole village - are lovely in spring and summer. The bar is a winner, though... more

Hurley and indeed the Olde Bell itself are superb locations, but the service does not currently match up. A recent family celebration Sunday lunch took more than 3 hours, with no seating help on arrival, vague management and lackadaisical service throughout – echoing, I’m afraid, some of the other comments on this site. I had to wonder if the wedding... more

We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms in April 2009. The room itself was neat and clean but i thought it was significantly overpriced at £180 per night. The breakfast looked good, but since we got down to breakfast 30 mins before it was finishing, the staff never replenished any of the breakfast items (ie no bread, orange juice).... more

Saw this place in glossy magazine quite a while back and finally got round to paying it a visit last weekend. This is the place to go to get away from it all! The food is rustic and totally in keeping with the building, the staff are friendly and nothing is tomuch hassle for them. We spend a good while... more

Thank you to the team at the Ye Olde Bell. I was very keen to book one of the beautiful designer rooms it was not a disappointment. The biggest, most luxurious bed, in the beautiful 'Malthouse' next to the main building - really great. My girlfriend took pics of the room on arrival it was that good! A great dinner... more

Visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night with my elderly and disabled parents. They were kept witing to be seated for a full 5 minutes which was not the best start! Waiting staff showed little friendliness and didn't want to be there but the clearest impression was that no one was in charge or taking any interest in goings on.... more

We visited the Olde Bell in Hurley in July 2009. Having eaten here a number of times in the past and enjoyed fantastic meals, we thought we would give the refurbished rooms a try. It was Henley Regatta when we visited and the room prices were increased accordingly, so a standard refurbished double room was £250 per night, B&B. Many... more

We were in the building outside the inn. The rooms here as fine but no more special than a Travelodge really. Large enough and clean but nothing more exciting than that. We had got the room with a voucher so didn't mind too much but if I'd paid £110 and was expecting something in the style of the inn (and... more
