Went here for a romantic night away, booked a Luxury Room in the Malt House, room stunning, roll top bath in room, big double bed, well decorated, very minimalist, bathroom nice and spacious, with walk in shower. We went to the bar for drinks around 5pm, couldn't get a seat so went out for a walk and came back, still... More

I have stayed here a few times over the past 6 years. The rooms are in desperate need of a make over. The blinds in room 44 are mouldy & filthy giving you an overall unclean feel to the whole room. Unforgivable given the expensive price tag. Breakfast average at an expensive £16. Bar & dining area help the place... More

I stayed here overnight in November 2015, the room was lovely very olde world, but comfortable and clean. The bar was cold and unwelcoming, I ate out at a local pub, and decided on Breakfast at the hotel in the morning. This was £16:00 for the most uninspiring full English I have ever eaten, far too expensive for a mediocre breakfast.... I stayed here over a month ago but delayed writing this review until now as I wanted to give the hotel time to respond to my complaints. I have waited in vain. This was a treat from my girlfriend who paid an amazing £225 for a night (not including breakfast!). so I expected something outstanding. The room was "quaint", uncarpeted... More

This is one of the most expensive Hotels I have ever stayed in £169.00 for one night. I was expecting a touch of luxury and refinement. The location is lovely but the Hotel as charming as it is on the outside does not match up on the inside. The bedroom was basic. There was no cupboard, just a coat rack... More

I booked a room at The Olde Bell and after reading a few negative reviews on TripAdvisor I was worried I’d made the wrong decision. Thankfully it was for nothing. The staff were extremely accommodating and it seems the management have taken on board criticism from previous guests. We were guests in room 16 in the Malt Inn which is... More

Stayed here 1 night for a family wedding. Would like to have been able to check in before the 2 o'clock wedding but the wedding guests from the previous nights wedding were still checking out at 12.30pm !!!!! We stayed in room 2 which was a superior room!!!! It was a good size and overlooking the garden with a small... More

I booked the room without checking the reviews so was wary after seeing some bad ones and almost cancelled. Thank God I didn't because we had such a great stay. They room was gorgeous, although the bath took a while to run it was still hot when finished. The staff were great, the bar downstairs was characterful and it was... More

Just spent Christmas here over 3 days on a package and, like another reviewer below who would appear to have stayed in the same room, we came away feeling rather short-changed. Firstly, I have to say the food was very good and the staff both friendly and helpful. I feel sorry for them, that they have to give the same... More

We booked two nights here through Secret Escapes last week. Our room, number 23, was across the car park in one of the barns. Huge queen size bed, no wardrobe, no drawers but there was an iron, board, hairdryer and coffee/tea bits which we didn't use. Carpet needed a hoover, feathers, dust, threads, and bits all over, bedside tables you... More
