Booked this hotel with Booking.Com but when we arrived they had no reservation for us. Despite being very busy for a wedding party they shuffled people around and gave us a luxury room at no extra cost. Although this was lovely and the staff were very nice and so was breakfast. The decor is very plain and makes the place... More

Stayed for 1 night. Bit of a mix up when we arrived they gave us a disabled room, this was soon rectified. My wife works with people with disabilities and was impressed to see that they have this facility. We stayed in room 21 in the brick built barn. Large room, comfy bed though would prefer a head board and... More

Gorgeous looking Mediaeval Inn in a lovely location. The evening meal was really delicious. Stayed overnight in The Malt House building which is part of the Inn's accommodation. It is beyond shabby chic and into scruffy. Threadbare stair carpet which needs replacing and minimalist bedroom which conveys meanness rather than style.

Dear Sirs, Thank you for your positive review in regards to your stay at the Old Bell. Yes we are a Mediaeval Inn with the oldest part of the building established in 1135. Our rooms have been updated 2 years ago by the renowned designer Ilse Crawford. I am sure the Shabby Chic comment will echo her design philosophy. We... More

Lovely hotel, very quaint hotel retaining many of he features. The hotel has been brought up to date in some areas whilst still keeping in style of the building. We upgraded to the best rooms with he roll top bath in the room, we thought all the top rooms has this feature but my daughters did not have even though... More

We stayed only one night and wished we could stay longer. Such a beautiful location and a lovely hotel. Staff were friendly, the gardens were amazing (got a guided tour of the veg and herb garden :o) and the room was lovely and spacious - with its very own old style rocking chair! Food was good too - we would... More

Stayed at The Olde Bell for 2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The inn is set in a beautiful village and has the olde worlde look you'd expect. The interior of the main inn lives up to that olde worlde charm but is a bit tired. Luckily we had glorious weather so took advantage of the lovely gardens to... More

We stayed at The Olde Bell Hotel in Hurley for our First Year Anniversary. The hotel is set in a beautiful village with lovely grounds. The weather was great so we could take advantage of the outdoor kitchen, this is a great facility that the hotel offers. The hotel was kind enough to offer us a complimentary upgrade due to... More

Stayed here with family for one night before taking part in the Marlow triathlon - it's a really lovely old pub/hotel with bags of history and character and with a wonderful laid back feel to it. Quiet drinks outside on the lawn on a summer afternoon were just idyllic. We stayed in one of the more expensive family rooms, which... More

This hotel is fantastic, in a pretty and rural location but only a few miles from the local town of Henley which is right on the river Thames which has lots of shops and restaurants. I stayed in a Superior room which was beautifully furnished with a lovely little outdoor balcony. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the... More

We have just come back from a night away at The Olde Bell. We love the hotel and the rooms are a fantastic size. However the dinner was a real let down. It was £30 per head for three courses. The portions were very stingy. My mother ordered scallops and when it arrived it was either 1 scallop divided in... More
