Please find below a letter sent to the owner of the 'hotel'; Dear 'the elusive' Mr Soni, This letter is another attempt to contact you regarding a refund I feel I am due after being extremely disappointed with the Highland Haven Hotel. The reasons for not staying at your Hotel were as follows; • After arriving late on the 12th... more

Do not get suckered into the “haven” it advertises. Let’s just say it’s a Hell rather than a Haven. It’s located in Macduff, Scotland which is a beautiful, heritage-rich country however, staying at the Haven can ironically ruin the whole trip. I stayed at the Highland Haven for four nights because I was on a tour with an agency. The... more

The general dilapidation and abysmal presentation of this so-called 'hotel' ('hovel' would be more accurate) has been well covered by those unfortunate enough to have stayed here previously, so I shall avoid needless repetition, however cathartic such an outpouring would prove to be! Suffice to say the local Tourist Boards should be ashamed of themselves for even having this place... more

Worst place I have ever stayed in. Dirty hovel. Fawlty Towers springs to mind but even it was better run. Some real dodgy characters around at night , junkies and drunks. Don't go there more

Let's see, this place is terrible it shouldn't even be open for people to stay in!!!!! Yes the view is nice but the inside is terrible, rooms looked like something out of the 70s - broken furniture, the bed was so hard there was no way anyone could sleep on it. The bathroom was tiny, the bath was dirty and... more
