Stayed here in 2 rooms with my family (5 in total). A very unique place and we really enjoyed it. Staff were very helpful in getting bags to the room and we ate in the restaurant on the night we stayed. The meal was the best we had on our 7 week holiday through Europe. Would thoroughly recommend it ...

The hotel is kind of cool but its very popular as it is next to the highway and most of the castle cannot be visited as it is private. If you re looking for a quiet castle experience somewhere in the countryside, don't go there but if you re just passing by anyway its a nice place to stop. The... More

This is an old castle that was converted into a hotel. I attended a wedding in this place and slept in one of the room - nicely decorated, though my room was quite small. The price was ok, the hotel doesn't have much to offer in terms of attractions, but just the felling of sleeping in an ancient hotel was... More

If you like medieval ambience a place like Castello di Pavone would certainly be a good place to visit. However, our recent trip to this hotel was not what we expected and was rather disappointing. We certainly did see the castle; from the outside, but not really the inside of it... When I booked my weekend I was thrilled at... More

If you like medieval ambience try out Castello di Pavone. It is an amazingly beautiful place with great rooms and the view on Alps. Clean rooms and modern bathrooms. Great staff that does not always speak good English. We also tried out their restaurant. Highly recommended.

Ideal restful, stopover on way to Italy and back to France. Magical castle, fabulous rooms with old masters on wall - mine also had the mona lisa! Painted ceilings, tranquil courtyard, fabulously friendly staff and a destination restaurant. So good returned to it on way home!

Perhaps I had high expectations since I had previously stayed in an old Monastery in Orvieto with great service. Perhaps it was the hype leading up to the stay. But I found this "castle" just okay. We arrived and no one was there to take our bags - several flights of stairs and no good walkway. Oddly there was parking... More

We wanted an experience in a mid evil castle and Castello Di Pavone fits the bill. The grounds were amazing on a picturesque hilltop. Other reviews discuss the stairs and it is certainly is the case you will be climbing many (not a problems for us). The food was excellent, both the breakfast and dinner. The hotel staff was nice,... From a distance the hotel looks idyllic, but on arrival the parking area is scrubby and the approach to the hotel with luggage, up numerous steps, is not for the elderly or disabled. After booking in we were shown to a room again up 50+ narrow stairs, not being in the first flush of youth in the heat this was... More

We stayed in the Super Suite on June 17th. The room was easily big enough for my family of four. The room was beautiful along with the castle grounds. Unfortunately for us it was very hot that day over 90 F / 32 C. The air conditioner in the Super Suite never had a chance. The Super Suite is on... More
