I have just come back from Newfield Hall,Malhamdale,Yorkshire, having spent 4 nights on a singing break. Fantastic!, Food great and plentyful, excellent, friendly and helpful staff. Clean large bedroom with superb view. Lovely swimming pool, well kept. Quiet. Our tutor, Marcus Martin helpful and encourageing, highly recommend!

This was our first HF break (2 nights full board) and was a mixed experience. It appears to cater mainly for retirees who appreciate the full board, group catering and club socialising. For an independent, seasoned hotel break couple like us, the communal dinner served at 7.15pm prompt, forced social seating in groups of 10, and having to make your... More

I didn't stay at the hotel so cannot comment on the rooms, pool etc however did attend a wedding here and the food was excellent! All piping hot and served quickly and was great quality. It is a lovely location, in the middle of nowhere but only 15 mins drive from skipton and close to the penine way.

Newfield Hall's greatest selling point is that it is set up to act as a fantastic base for Walkers and walking holidays. There are fantastic walks to be had by just walking out of the front door and the hotel's setting is beautifully remote. Pleasant rooms, a great breakfast, legendary packed lunches and superb evening meals are all that you... More

I stayed at Newfield Hall for two nights with my partner as part of a walking holiday and I cannot begin to tell you how fantastic this place is. From reading other people's reviews, it seems that privacy and internet were the two main concerns. Firstly, the shared mealtimes were fabulous - it gave everyone staying there the chance to... stayed here the night after my daughters wedding at the Angel Inn Hetton just to make a weekend of it. wasn't aware this hotel was a walkers hotel as per previous review does have an old peoples home feel about it. Breakfast was interesting sat at big round tables with other people not what I would want. (and at a... More

Like the previous reviewer, we booked this accommodation in a bit of a hurry as it was the only place left on booking.com near Skipton on the date we were looking at. There was only one room left according to the website, so we booked it and hoped for the best. First thing to point out is that Newfield Hall... More

Newfield Hall is great for groups and OAPs, however, I would not recommend it to friends or family as it has the feel of an old people's home, there is little privacy at meal times and rooms come without a phone or the internet. Meals: Guests have to eat dinner at a set time (ordering meals hours in advance) and... More

This was my second stay at Newfield Hall and once again it proved to be relaxing, tranquil with wonderful food and service. My first visit was in June last year when I walked the Dales Way and I was so impressed with the whole experience that I became a share holder of HF Holidays who are the owners. On this... More
