I have just returned from a week staying at Newfield Hall. I attended a holiday on Gilbert and Sullivan, travelling to the festival in Harrogate on four nights. apart from these occasions I stayed in and around the house, painting and reading. A perfect escape from tourists racing around. the food was excellent and service first class. Like the house... More

A great hotel, absolutely beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had booked the hotel without knowing about the walking holidays they offer, as such I was caught up with the new arrivals for an organised tour. After speaking to the other guests I will definitely explore HF Holidays. I had read... More

You will need a google map to find this place. It's a lovely mansion with an indoor pool, comfortable rooms and public spaces. It's a bit unusual , you choose in advance your dinner and sit down at 7.15 with the other guests on shared round tables. Suits a social outgoing person, and eating in groups can be nice if... More

What a fantastic place to stay. Walkers are a lovely lot of people, in touch with nature and with an appetite for life in general. Newfield Hall's setting is magnificent with an abundance of beauty to behold. Inside, it is clean and well organised and very relaxing. It's a home from home and the staff are simply great. The cat... More

We stayed at Newfield Hall for 7 nights in June 2015 as part of a HF Holidays package. Our credit card was billed twice, we were charged the wrong amount and later we were asked to change dates because they had overbooked. Yet with all these problems we rate Newfield Hall 5/5; why? The accommodations, food, hiking and camaraderie were... More

My partner and I won a HF Holiday "walks and more" weekend away. We wanted to walk one of the peaks, so we chose to stay at Newfield Hall. The Hall stands in picturesque grounds, plenty of sheep wandering around, and I swear I heard donkeys! Newfield Hall is an older property, the entrance hall was very grand, with a... More

A group of eight of us, all enjoyed the service, food and the good selection of the bar. All areas of the hotel where very well looked after, rooms comfortable, clean and good beds, so a good nights sleep was had by all.

Just spent 3 night at Newfield Hall. The hotel is a converted stately home and the decor is fresh and bright, with good use of old artefacts. It's a 'comfortable' homely place in extensive grounds, with great views. The management and staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent and plentiful, we will have... More

My wife and I stayed here for a three night dancing break over the May Day bank holiday weekend. Having read reviews which said Newfield Hall resembled a nursing home we found these comments to be quite offensive. Newfield Hall is nothing of the sort. The setting is in a quiet location four miles from Malham. The Ex country house... More
