Having spent many holidays in Kirkby Malham when our boys were young we decided to return to Malham and stay at Beck Hall which we had passed many times on our walks to the Cove. My husband finds it difficult to walk very far but managed to get over the little stone bridge as we were not able to take... more

We chose Beck Hall over the other options in Malham because the oak paneled room was available and that was the only room we wanted. We got an email with the subject line of 'Confirmation information for Beck Hall Malham' that said we had booked the room with a well presented table in the middle that 'confirmed' room 2. This... more

Alice and I are sorry to hear you're not into chintzy, all tastes are different as are our room decorating styles! We feel we did at the time of the customers booking put in the comment box that as their stay was a shorter one in the middle of the busy school holidays we needed to keep the flexibility to...

My partner and myself stayed here from 12th - 15th march 09 for our anniversary. My partner had surprised me by taking me away and staying at Beck Hall, it was lovely. The staff were all very helpful and polite. The breakfast was fine and although we didn't have our evening meal there (slightly expensive and not much choice on... more

Along with 32 family and friends we took over Beck Hall for my Retirement Weekend for 3 nights from 20th February 2009. Beck Hall is in a wonderful part of North Yorkshire, the very pretty village of Malham. The setting is beautiful and you have to cross a small stone bridge by foot to get there. Alice and Simon were... more

Beck Hall is in the very pretty village of Malham. It is in a wonderful setting and you have to cross a small stone bridge by foot to get there. The old part of the hall is full of character. There is a warm welcome and they are dog friendly which is great for us. There is a menu at... more

Whilst staying at the wonderful Lister Arms for a weekend we decided to try an evening meal at Beck Hall one night. The initial welcome on booking, and a promising menu was the best part of the experience. We arrived to eat at 7 pm as booked, and when no one met us we waited in the dingy , time... more

A last minute half term break was what was needed for our family. Beck Hall wasTHE place to go. Our 2 teenage sons marvelled not only at the sights, the breakasts but also the fact they had Sky Tv in their room.Simon and Alice had thought of everything for a comfortable stay in Beck Hall. Nothing was too much trouble... more

We stayed at Beck Hall for the second time recently and our high expectations were not disappointed. It does feel like stepping back in time and feels like a home from home. Beck Hall has a very special charm, old world, privacy, not fancy, but a warm hearted feel to the place, like a favourite cardigan it just feels right.... more

My wife and I stayed here for one night. The room smelt damp, there was carpet instead of tiles in the bathroom. The toilet beside the dining room was smelly. One night was enough so changed hotels. more

We must have been one of the unlucky people, but we stayed over the beginning of August on recommendations. We couldn't check in on arrival but put in the lounge with tea, unfortunatley we were wet to the bone(as we had previously been sent away in torrential rain) but no offer of anywhere to change our clothes. The room was... more
